Percy and Annabeth were chilling at the beach, enjoying the last days of summer. It was the last day of August and usually at this time they would be packing their things to return to their families in the mortal world. However, this year the seven had decided that they wanted to spend time together, to recover from their recent losses and to get closer to each other. They want to be like a family, albeit a family that are all dating each other.
So, as it normally was every time the couple went to the beach, Annabeth was reading while Percy was swimming, making small talk with fish. Percy dived, deep, into the seemingly boundless midnight zone. He felt his vision switch as he prepared to hurtle for the surface, planning to jump up into the air and splash his wise girl. Of course, he would make sure the water didn't touch her book, last time that happened she judo flipped him twenty-three times (the number of droplets on her book).
He started his journey to the surface, enjoying the colour of the water surrounding him change from light to dark with the occasional flecks of colour from coral, fish and other marine life. He must have been travelling at near to 70 miles per hour. Actually, Percy knew (thanks to his perfect water coordination) that he was going at 63.4353 knots. He was just about to reach the surface when he found his throat constricted, he couldn't breathe.
The only other time he had had this feeling was when he was suffocating in the muskeg... this thought brought on pangs of fear, he kicked up to the surface, pushing down his fear. He broke the surface and straightaway called out for Annabeth.
Annabeth looked up in confusion, annoyed that Percy would interrupt her reading but also worried because she thought she had taught that kelphead his lesson last time... she finally noticed that Percy looked downright terrified. What would Percy, the leader of multiple wars and generally badass guy, Percy have to be afraid of on this exquisite beach and in his element? Percy. Scared. Water. Memories. Flashbacks. Oh gods, he must have had a flashback to when he was suffocating in the muskeg. All these thoughts flew through Annabeth's head in milliseconds. Finally, she surged forward, towards her idiot, her poor, beautiful, adorable, idiot. Wading into the water, still fully dressed she pulled Percy out of the water, to just past where the waves were breaking. There, with the waves crashing around them, she held him, and he held her. They stayed there for a long time, both crying softly against the others shoulder. Remembering.
Leo was in the forges with his siblings, as part of spending more time with the seven, they were also all going to spend more time with their siblings (if they had them). Blasting metal all day with his fire was not Leo's idea of a great time, but it helped him get closer to his siblings and as a bonus helped his control. Usually Leo loved the feeling of using his powers, the slight tingling in the areas I decide to ignite, followed by the soft sizzling sound. Leo supposed that the others around him must fell his slight tingling as a harsh scorching. Still wondering how hot his powers feel to all his friends, another bucket of metal was brought in front of him, he sighed weakly and got to blasting yet another chunk of metal to its molten state.
Since Leo had been using his powers all day and he was starting to feel the strain of it. He decided to stop after two more buckets, maybe he would go and find Calypso... he was suddenly snapped out of his stupor by a foreign sensation. It felt freezing in comparison to his fire, he peeked down at his hands and jumped in surprise! He quickly shut off his powers fearing that something was wrong with him. He scanned the distressed faces surrounding him, everyone looked confused, no one had any idea what was happening. This thought triggered Leo out of his daze and ran out to find the one person who he could think of, his girlfriend, Calypso.
Calypso was gardening in the small area Chiron had set apart for her, to make her feel more at home and welcome. It was the most peaceful area of the camp and she had set it up to be a place for the demigods to come when they are feeling overwhelmed by their world. Just by the shore of the lake you could hear the water playfully lapping at the shore, occasionally, some of the demigods (particularly the seven) come here and put on shows for the younger, or less experienced campers. Calypso loved these moments of peace in the hustle and bustle of this community, don't get it wrong Calypso adored having as much company as she could ever wish for, at any time she wants. Some of the years she had spent on Ogygia were desolate, particularly in the weeks after a hero had left.
Calypso's moment of serenity was interrupted by a sudden shout of "Calypso, are you there?" obviously coming from Leo, Calypso shouted that she was just by the shore in a carefree tone. But, in reality, she was worried, Leo sounded far too serious and he never calls he Calypso, only Cal or Cally. Leo burst onto the beach and immediately started rambling about something to do with his powers and the forges.
Calypso couldn't understand most of what he was saying, and she hated to see him like this, so scared. So, she did the only logical thing and kissed him. Their lips crashing together forced him to stop talking, and slowly his heart rate slowed. They pulled away, and Calypso said, tenderly "Now, tell me what happened, and tell me properly. Whatever this is, we're better than it."
Leo loved that girl so much; she always knew what to do or say. He took a deep breath and began to explain what had happened at the forges. When he was nearing the end of the story, when he told her about the water that shot out of his hands, she gasped and looked troubled. Leo took another breath and finished the story, saying "What do you think we should do?"
"I think," Calypso said, slowly and carefully "that we need to talk to Annabeth."
A/N: Hey, please can people tell me what you think? I'm open for recommendations, but I'm pretty set on the story line. Is this a good length? It's around 1070 words... Thanks!

What he doesn't know can't hurt him... right?
Fiksi PenggemarPercy and Leo's powers get switched around, a harmless joke or something more mysterious? This is my first fanfic, so don't be too harsh! Also, I'm using this to find what style of writing I like, so it will probably change quite a bit.
