ally eastman was currently sat upon her bed, wondering if getting up & getting ready for school was even worth it. to avoid having to argue with her mother, ally sighed and walked over to her closet, choosing the first outfit that her small fingers touched. after ally finished getting ready, she walked downstairs where her mother, rachel eastman, stood in the kitchen making toast.

"morning, mama." ally said, kissing her mom's cheek.

"good morning, ally." rachel smiled.

ally & rachel had a special relationship. most mothers & daughters were not as close as ally & rachel were, but ally loved it. rachel was like ally's best friend and ally was like rachel's best friend.

"do we have any jelly?" ally asked, looking through the fridge.

"no, can you go grocery shopping for me after school today?" rachel asked. "i'm working late tonight at the diner."

rachel eastman was the best mother anyone could ask for, but her job didn't provide the money for all the necessities that they needed, including groceries.

"yeah, sure." ally smiled.

"thanks, hon." rachel kisses her daughter's forehead.

"okay, i'm off to school." ally sighed, standing up from her chair at the dining table.

"you didn't even eat!" rachel exclaimed.

"mama, you know i don't eat toast without jelly." ally smiled, throwing a peace sign before walking to the front door of her home.

"love you!" her mother yelled.

"love you too!" ally yelled back, smiling.
