I stroked her back, "It isn't. Everything is just happening for a reason."
After Trinity had calmed down, I let go of her. "You okay now?"
She nodded, smiling back at me when I frowned. "I'm alright now."
I nodded and laid back down onto the headboard.
"Anyways," she continued. "Uhm, where was I?" she chuckled.
"When I was mumbling while in my trance like state."
"Oh yeah. William carried you to the pack house and laid you down here. We had the pack doctor to check up on you. He said that the something had entered into brain, creating such a loud noise that of you could hear. And one that make your ears bleed."
The voices were yelling in my head. I remember it all now. I bit my lip to stop it from trembling and looked down at my fingers.
"The doctor had injected you with some medicine to put you at ease since you were still shaking all over. Soon after, everyone left the room except for William. He had already asked for permission from the rogues to enter into their territory for a further search. After they granted, William placed ten of the warriors to track down the smell that was on you. After hours of searching, someone finally found their hide out. They said to be about five fae's in that area, all making a spell. One of the warriors suspect that the Fae's are trying to create something new with all the ingredients around the area."
A new substance? Only the powerful Fae's can create something new.
"Can you tell me the ingredients?" I asked.
"We don't know what they are. But they stuff are still at the site."
I must find out what the ingredients were. Only then would I know how strong this we spell would be or how powerful they are going to make Trin's spell.
I got out of bed and walked into the bathroom. I brushed my teeth, washed my face, and brushed my hair. The showers gonna wait until tonight. Though I do smell bad. So I stripped of my clothes and threw on whatever clothes I found.
"Where you going?" Trin shouted out to me once I exited the room.
"Ingredients."
"Lemme come with you." I could hear her foot steps getting closer to me.
I spun around so fast that Trin nearly ran into me.
"No," I said sternly. "I can't have you exposed. I don't know how powerful this new substance can be nor do I know if my shield is strong enough to protect you, Trin. Just stay here. I'll be right back."
I began making my way downstairs and out into the forest. I quickly shifted after a few feet into the forest.
I took a big whiff of the air and almost choked.
Oh god. This is some strong crap they have.
I ran into the direction of the smell, my ears perked for any sudden movements.
I ran for what felt like miles until the scent was everywhere. I shifted back into my human form and walked over to a little bonfire.
Suddenly, I heard some shuffling. The substances' smell was overpowering the intruders scent, so I was on high alert for anything.
I tuned into my hearing. Two coming from my left, heavy too.
Then, two figures came out from a tree, growling at me. When they saw who I was, they immediately bowed and apologized to me.
"Luna, we are sorry. We didn't mean to growl at you. We-"
"It's alright," I told them, relaxing from my own stance. "At least you two are on high alert for anything. So give me an update on this area."
"From what we can tell, they've been in this area for a few days."
"A few days?!" I shouted.
How can this be? I run across this area almost every time. How do I not catch their scent?
"Yes, Luna," he nodded. "We've also come to a conclusion that the scent right here, was just released. They must of been gathering the scent so we won't be able to pick up on it."
I scowled at the ground. Just released, huh? I think someone has been creating their own spell for a powerful bubble shield.
A bubble shield! That's it!
I immediately shifted and hung my head low to the ground, my nose barely touching the dirt. My eyes quickly scanned the ground for any evidence of a mark.
If they were using a shield of any sort, then there must be a crest somewhere around here where the bubble was. This crest will prove that there was indeed a bubble and also that they're getting much more powerful. Meaning, they're going back to the ole' spells again.
Finally, I found it. It was barely noticeable, but it was still there.
I shifted back into and tried to rally up the distance.
Ten feet from where the guard are.
"Any," I called out to one of the guards. He immediately walked over to me and bowed. "I want you to sniff out where the scent ends. Keep track of the distance between the end and Dante."
"Yes, ma'am."
He shifted into his mocha colored wolf and ran off into the woods.
"Dante," I called out to the other guard. "Help me pick out the the ingredients they were using."
"Yes, Luna. There's some in the back. Should I go pick them out?"
"Yeah."
Then, I began collecting a the herbs that we're in the bonfire- which was circled with medium sized rocks and woods set up tent like in the middle.
'Fifteen meters away from Dante, Luna.'
I gasped. Fifteen meters is quite a distance. 'Thank you, Andy. You may take your break now.'
'Yes, Luna.'
So far, I've collected about twenty herbs, plus sixteen from Dante. Some of these herbs are quite poisonous, and I'm afraid of what they're going to do with them
"That seems to be a out it," I concluded as I stood up from the ground.
I didn't bring a bag but Dante helped out by taking his shirt off and allowing us to place the herbs into his shirt.
"Yeah, that's a lot," Dante agreed. "Is that the normal amount of herbs needed to create a spell or potion?"
I shook my head. "No. Not even close." I looked up from the ground and up at the sky. "We've been out here for a while. Let's head ba-"
I was cut off from someone forcefully trying to get into my head.
'EMALINE! HELP ME!'
