-Nico's pov-

As soon as dinner was over, I telaported myself back to my tent. Sighing, I tore off my mask, and dropped it on my bed.

"Stupid disguises." I muttered, angry that Chaos was making us were them. "I can understand Percy and everyone else wearing them. But why me?"

I sunk into my bed, and stared up at the roof.

I still question myself about joining this team. My mind wandered to the day I had found Percy after he had ran from the Camps. It was a few months after he had disappered.

I was walking down the street some where in northen Utah. Glaring at anyone who dared looked at me. Many people crossed the streets, looking at me as if I radiate death. Which of course, I did.

A snap and a low yowl inside the alley closes to my left caught my attention. I drew my sword, thinking a monster was nearby. I shuffled forward into the alley, hiding myself in the shadows.

What I saw surprised me.

A guy a little older than me held another guy at sword point. The guy behind the tip of the sword glared angrily at the guy holding the sword. A low growl was coming from his throat.

"So, your still alive, eh?" He growled.

This guy had dark brown hair, cut short. He stood at a hieght of six' two at the very least. He wore a long trench coat over a pair of jeans and blue t-shirt.

I tried to get a good look at the other guy, but my view was blocked by the shadows he stood in. I found ths strange, and tried to move the shadows, but they refused.

"Trust me. I'm hard to get rid of." He said, and I froze. Something in his voice was familiar.

The guy said one last thing before the other sliced him in half with his sword. He exploded into golden dust that trickled to the floor.

I stood in the shadows, my eyes wide, and heart racing from what the guy had just said.

"You"ll die sooner or later. Jackson."

"Percy?" I called.

Percy swung his sword, his eyes darting everywhere at once. Searching for me. I realized I had melt almost complete intothe shadows. Clearing my throat so I wouldn't get my head cut off, I stepped out of the shadows. Percy's sea green eyes widen even more, and he took a step back.

"Nico.... What... what are you doing here?" He asked.

I blinked, my surprise leaving me. Being replaced by anger. "What am I doing here?" I glared at him. "What are you doing here? Everyone at camp thinks your dead!"

Percy's eyes sadden. "Good. They can believe it all they want."

I glared at him confused. "Why? Why are you here? And not back home."

"I've got no home!" He snapped, his eye's becoming dangerous. "You shouldn't be here Nico. Don't mention you saw me to anyone. Got it?"

"What? No! I'-"

Percy took a step back, and a bright light appeared around him. "Good bye Nico."

The light brighten, and my heart speed up. I ran forward recklessly, and grabbed ahold of his shirt.

"Wait!"

A loud pop, and I closed my eyes. The bright light shinning through my eyelids. When it finally died down again, I waited. No wanting Percy to be gone.

"Well, well, well. What do we have here?" A voice asked.

I opened my eyes, and realized I still had Percy's shirt in my grip. Percy himself glared angrily down at me. A man in a black cloak stood in front of us, a smile appearing from under his hood.

"Hello, Nico Di Angelo. I am Chaos."

A loud thud brought me back to the present, and I snatched up my mask, quickly fixing it on my face. I reached for my sword, and stood. Walking to the entrance of my tent, I pulled to flap open and looked out. Seeing nothing, I stepped out, sword ready.

"I knew it." A voice said to my left.

I spun, swing my sword in a wide arc. The blade glowed darkly as it passed through shadows, but the kid was faster. He ducked and rolled, landing on his knees. He stood silently.

I glared up at him as he took a step forward, smiling like an idiot.

"Hello, Achak." Will Solace said, grinning. "Or should I say Nico Di Angelo."
