Kyle Favre is a homophobe. No, no, not that kind of homophobe. He doesn't sneer at people in the lgbtq+ community, nor wants them to lose their rights. Kyle is the other definition of phobic. The type who gets nervous, especially around attractive guys. Why? That's a long, humiliating, "coming-out story" he prefers not to think about.

When Kyle moves from Mom and Dad's house to a student apartment complex, however, one of his brand new housemates is an openly gay freshman named Matthew Kien. Matt, with his uncanny resemblance to a figure from Kyle's high school days, his smiling eyes, and his affinity for teasing and pushing buttons, immediately starts making Kyle's life difficult. And with the two of them also enrolled in the creative writing class, Kyle realises it may finally be time to face his fears head on. It was time to change. Ready or not.
