This poem is dedicated to those who would light a candle, so I could see in the dark
The garden looks so beautiful
On this day so fantastical
Radiant with flowers bountiful
To many to count yet still
The colours we so adoreTake a closer look my friend
Those colours near their end
The trees break and bend
Under the weight of the never-end
Sour is the fruit they boreA songbird takes up in flight
The sun lights up in sight
She dreams to touch the light
Get to heaven with all her might
But her wing is bloodied and soreWhat is heaven but a dream
So perfect does it seem
Like a foul and dirty scheme
To keep the sinner clean
But pin him to the ocean floorSo fill your lungs with healing waters
Breathe slow like they taught us
Let life enter your heart again
And forget all your painBecuase you will be there
With love and with care
And all we had to bare
Will pain us no moreCome rain, come storm
Come weathered and worn
You will light a spark
That clears the dark
That comes at the dawn
