And just as Jack promised he was waiting out side my house leaning on his car and waiting for me to come out of my house at 7:30 on the dot. I could see my parents watching from outside the window not understanding why I didn't just drive my own car but also didn't understand that the walk was good for me and he offered to drive me home and to school.

"Hello." He smiles widening the door for me. I just realize that I'm putting my life in this strangers hands and my parents aren't questioning me about him. I feel like a child just accepting his rides without being like 'we have to be friends first' or 'I haven't known you for that long'. No but what actually got me into the car was that he called his friend shitty and it was good enough for me.

"Good morning." I sit in the seat as he closes the door going around to the passenger seat starting up the car. I strap on my seatbelt as he does his own and pulls off towards school. "Are your friends going to ambush me as soon as I leave your car?"

"Why in the hell would they do that?" He ask looking at me as if I was crazy. Did he not understand that I was played for a fool yesterday?

"Just asking." I grumble as we get in the parking lot. He parks his car smiling at me.

"I'll open your door just in case." He gets out the car going to my side opening the door. He grabs my bag from the floor of the car as I get out closing the door behind me.

"Thanks Jack. Maybe I underestimated you, but I still won't wear my guard down around you." I tell him as he nods.

"I get it, my friends played you and I have to suffer the consequences." He pouts making me roll my eyes at him.

"Shut up. I'll see you later." I wave at him heading up to the school where I see Amy running towards me.

"I am so sorry. I had no clue she would've done that." She exclaims as I shrug. I'm not mad at Amy she couldn't have known.

"It's okay, I guess I wasn't meant to cheer this year." I sigh as she pouts.

"What team did you use to be on?" She ask curiously.

"The Idaho Bells." I smile as she gasp.

"No fucking way! You guys were top ten in states." She yells. "You're a Goddess."

"Barely. I'm just a normal girl who loves to dance. Were? Still are! I don't know what they'll do for moves this year." I tell him making her gasp again as my smile itches to widen.

"Wow, Shelby can surely learn a thing or two from you." She says.

"She could. Not to shit on her but that dance in the video was soooo mediocre. Like she worked on the whole summer for that? And she made it more complicated then it actually is." I tell her as she laughs.

"You're so right. You could've really helped with our moves."

"Well that's down the drain because I'm not on the team." I shrug as she pouts.

"I was hoping for you to be on the team. Then we could be besties."

"We can be besties just not with cheerleading." I tell her as she shrugs pouting.

"What's got you pouty." Taylor ask smiling at me.

"She didn't make the team." Amy cries. "And she was the best one out there."

"Well Shelby is a bitch so I'm not surprised." Taylor shrugs as I nod. We continue our conversation heading to Amy's locker as she puts some of her books in it.

"So why were you getting out of Jack McCockiner car?" Taylor ask with a twinkle in her eye.

"Honestly I don't even know. He offered me a ride yesterday because I was walking home." I tell her with a shrug. "I get it they're popular their cute, what is it about them? Are they bad or are their daddies just rich?"

"Well I can't speak for Daniel." Amy smiles. "But Jack, Mike and Jordan are swimming in money, and they have jobs."

"And Daniel is ?" I push as it was her time to shrug at me.

"Daniel does illegal shit to get his money. So whether he is swimming in money because of his parents or not, he gets coins." Amy explains as she closes her locker.

"Interesting." I say but not actually caring. So not only were they rich but because they're friend does a little illegal shit it gives them all street cred. Cool. Not only that but they have jobs?

The girls walk me to my class as we wave bye and I sit next to John as he beams at me. "Hey beautiful."

"Hello John How was your night." I ask ignoring his compliments.

"It was a longing to see your beautiful face." He says as I roll my eyes making him laugh. "Sorry sorry."

"Yeah please." I laugh shaking my head.

"So what? You and Jack fucking now?" I turn to Daniel narrowing his eyes at me as I am trying to resist from rolling my eyes at him.

"Excuse me?" I glare at him. "You mind your business like a good boy, yes?"

"I'm not your child." He says making me smirk.

"But you are surely acting like one." I cock my head to the side. If looks could kill at this point I would honestly be dead.
