The moon was like a silver bell on a black cat, it’s light ringing all over the small town of Baroon, which is made up of eight farms, a school, a pub, a milk bar, a supermarket and a doctor-hospital-dentist-chemist shop. Everyone one was asleep, off in the land of dreams. All except for Sally. She was up doing her last checks over the milk bar when she heard the low rumble of a car engine. Peeking out the window she saw headlights. Sally ducked behind a magazine stand and waited for the car to pass. It didn’t. The car stopped right outside the milk bar. It was a limousine. A man in a fancy suit glanced around quickly, taped a notice to the window, got back into the limousine, and left. Sally stood and walked on tiptoes to the window. She read the notice through the glass once, then twice just to make sure she wasn’t dreaming. What did the man want? And why did he choose Baroon?
