do you lie?
will you lie to me?
are you my nightmare
disguised as wonderland?
are you my own personal
demon, here to taunt me?
to triumph on my failures,
to feast on my fears?
will you lie to me,
lie to me?
in my daydreams
in the act of dreaming
wide awake?
will you lie to me to pure
daylight where the shadows
aren't there to plunge me into
the abyss?
will you misguide me
and twist our love?
or will you hide yourself away
from me like the day hides
the night?
are you afraid I might not love
you in return? are you afraid
you aren't good enough
for me, so you hide inside your
whispers of lies?
but love, lies are meant to be freed
they're meant to see the light.
lies never shield themselves from the
truth, it's your own doing.
