"What do you need?" his voice was laced with evil and ruthlessness.

I would have known that Porter Alejandro Dunn is this kind of evil. Of course, he wouldn't be known as the business industry's bad boy if he wasn't this...intense.

His dark brown eyes are piercing through my being as I stared at him. His thick brows are furrowed as he licked his lower lip. He's leisurely sitting on his swivel chair while he stares at me with a devil's smirk.

My throat seemed to have run dry. I have thought about this for almost a week and just a while ago, I was so sure I would ace this. I was so sure I would convince him into helping even though most of my trusted people already told me that this is going to be a suicide mission.

It won't be suicide mission, I have repeated over and over again.

It was my own pep talk because everyone seemed to have given up on me—given up on my family's business.

But I can't give it up. My parents worked so hard for this. Their deaths will be in vain if I let the bank and the board take our airline company from us. I am their only daughter and I believe that I am responsible for our company now. My parents left it to me.

For me to manage.

And I will...

Or just so I thought.

I have thought about so many possible ways and tried every possible means to save our business but they all failed. I have failed in all of them.

Thus, here I am, standing in front of the most ruthless business man in the whole state, ready to beg him for his help, ready to give what he needed.

"I..." my voice trembled as I started to speak. This is not good.

Mr. Porter Dunn's eyes squinted at me, seemingly annoyed that I am taking so much of his precious time. He clenched his jaw as he linked his fingers and placed them under his chin while laying back on his swivel chair.

I swallowed and took a deep breath. You can do it!

"I am Graziella Pauline Fuller, the only daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Paulo Fuller of the Grazen Airlines."

Mr. Dunn raised his brow and cocked his head to the side. "What is the only daughter of Mr. Fuller doing here?" he asked in a deep voice.

I pursed my lips in a thin line and swallowed. "I...am here to ask...for your help, Mr. Dunn."

He stared at me, expressionless. I don't know but his face definitely is giving me a whole new surge of anxiety.

"The bank and the board wanted to take over the company...and I...cannot let that happen," I began.

Tears are already forming in the sides of my eyes. Never in my whole life have I imagined that everything would turn out this way. My life has always been perfect. My parents support me in everything I do. Our business was the crème of the crop amongst airline industries.

But overnight, all of it was just...gone.

And now, I have to work hard to save it.

"I want you...to help me...keep my parents' company," I shut my eyes and pretended that all of this was just a part of a bad dream.

Yes. A nightmare and I will wake up soon.

My squeezed my hand tightly as I heard the sound of the wheels of the swivel chair rub against the floor. I heard footsteps that are coming nearer.

A manly scent immediately greeted my nose. I opened my eyes and saw Mr. Dunn's face so close to mine. He narrowed his eyes at me as he lifted his hand to my cheek.
