san/wooyoung
wooyoung watched as the boy in his arms shattered and shook his head, telling himself that the words he'd heard were lies and that it was payback for everything he'd done.
"woo, please... tell me you're joking..." he begged as pathetic tears fell down his face. with a gentle smile to try and make everything better, the younger responded with a soft,
"i wish i could."
the smile didn't stop san from collapsing to the ground like a falling house of cards. his entire body shook with each painful sob. wooyoung found his way to the floor next to him, hugging him instantly.
"i'm so sorry, sannie. i-i wish it could be different, but i need a break. i..." he paused, moving closer to the boy who shook in his grasp. "i love you."
"no," san started after a moment, "don't... don't pull that. not now. please. i-i... i can't. i love you too, but... not now." wooyoung nodded, trying to understand.
he couldn't.
all he understood was that he was hurting and that he wished everything could go back to how it was. sadly, he knew it couldn't.
to make up for it, he did his best to cherish the moment he and the boy he loved, choi san, were having before he fucked everything up. he took in san's beauty, even through his disheveled, crying appearance, and the way he could feel his soft skin and toned muscles underneath the tips of his fingers. he looked at his hair as he rolled off his knees into a sitting position, pulling the older closer and reaching a hand to play with the messy fading green, almost blonde at this point, locks that sat atop san's head.
the air fell silent as the mop of green found its way to wooyoung's chest. both sat in the still air, not doing much more than breathing and taking in the moment before it was gone. the younger's fingers kept playing with the older's hair, being tangled in the mess of jade. wooyoung felt his eyes close as san's arms snaked their way around his figure.
neither wanted to let go. they sat in the same position for what felt like eternities until wooyoung's phone finally buzzed, the signal that it was almost time for him to go.
gloomily, he finally let go and opened his eyes, looking at san again. tears welled up in his eyes.
"s-sannie...?" he croaked. in response, the older's gaze flicked up to him, eyes peeking through his hair. "i... have to go." san shook his head, earning a heart-wrenching "i'm sorry," from wooyoung, before pleading for him to stay.
in a flash, the air was silent again as wooyoung shushed san with a passionate kiss that held all of the feelings he knew would have to be left back in seoul. when he finally pulled away, he whispered a sweet, "please take care of yourself, and i love you."
and just like that, he left as easily as the first time, his heart hurting even more than before. as he got into his car which held his luggage, he looked back at the apartment building and said a final goodbye to his home, his friends, his life in the city, and his love.
with that, he put the vehicle in drive and abandoned it all.
