Sam

The bell jingles above the door and I lift my eyes from my newspaper.

It's her. She came back. Involuntary a smile stretches my lips, and she approaches the counter, her eyes darting from me to the chalkboard behind me.

"Hi, Luna. Welcome back," I greet her.

"Hi, Sam," she answers in that soft but barely audible voice.

For some reason, I want to hear her laugh, and not the silent chuckle, but full out belly laugh. I bet she has a nice laugh.

"What can I get for you?" I ask, studying the angel in front of me as she glances down at her hands.

She's gorgeous. Long blond hair, cute small nose, ruby red lips, and big grey eyes. She looks to be in mid-twenties and clearly she's timid and quiet. It intrigues me. For the first time in a long while, I want to get to know someone. And I'm not planning on ignoring this voice inside that says she's what I have been looking for my whole life.
