I walk into the Curtis house and search for Darry asking if there's anything I could help with around there.

Poor guy is always so busy and deserves a break. Cleaning is one of my favorite things to do anyway, so I don't mind.

I find him in the kitchen;
"Hey, Dare." I say and pat him on the shoulder.

"Mornin, Madison." He replies turning my way and gives me a light smile.

With my hand on one of the counters, I lean against it and ask if there's anything I could help with, he says it'd be great if I could fix up the living room a bit before the rest of the boys wake up.

Within no time, I'd organized the room a bit and Darrel had finished breakfast. I take it into my own hands to wake up the two boys.

I go into their room and open the blinds having the sun leak in and hit their faces. They both groan and Soda throws the cover over his head.

"Morning, boys- school and work in a few hours!" I say bubbly and head out.

I grab some breakfast and head to the table where Darry is sitting.
"Yknow Madison, you'll make a great mother one day." He says while putting a forkful of food in his mouth.

I smile at the thought of having children, but I don't think it'll ever happen. "Nah, I don't know about that. I don't think I'd ever be ready for that.." I say and sigh.

"It may not feel that way now, but you will be. You do great with the boys, with all of us. They really look up to you." He smiles at me.

I laugh awkwardly "that's real sweet, but I'm just bein' friendly. I owe to you all, and plus, bein the only girl in this gang I feel the need to be helpful."

Darry gets up and puts his dish away still talking to me "nothin you owe to us, sugar." He says and walks into his room "we just really appreciate you, honestly. Don't know what we'd do without you."

He pats my back and begins toward the door
"Hey Dare, do you think any of us will be able to have the relationship with Dallas that he has with Johnny?" I ask shyly, knowing the answer.

"Not a chance kiddo, that's just the way he is. I don't know what made Johnny so special, but they got a bond none of us will ever have." He finishes and walks out the door.
