The stronger your cat, the better they're treated. The leader is kept in a nice den, as is the deputy, their mates, and kits. The advisors have suitable dens, and so do the next couple of warriors and healers after them. But, the weaker your warrior is, the worse conditions they're left in. Not something you want. Lower ranked warriors can be left outside in cold or bad weather, leaving them sick or exhausted which may result in punishment. In addition to that, lower ranked warriors are more likely to starve. So they have to catch prey themselves, steal, or fight and climb the ranks.
Higher ranked warriors and cats get better picked mates (stronger more beautiful mates), while lower ranked cats rarely get mates. Even so, if low ranked cats do get mates, their kits may be sickly.
You may be wondering. "Guys, wtf is this?" Well! It's a safeguard. The weaker the mate, the weaker the kits. Thus more motivation to get your a- tails in action.

Piebald: Color based mutation, causes a part of the cat to become white and pale, or black. Random, no harm done to kittens. 40% to pass to kits.
Clawless/De-clawed: Kit is not born with claws, and cannot hunt well, or fight well. -2 hsl and bsl. Usually common in very, very weak cats who may have been sick during the pregnancy. No chance to pass to kits.
Vitiligo: Born black and turn white as they grow.
Deaf: Kit is born without hearing. Minus hunting, may not do well in multiple cat battle. Small chance to pass to kits. Rare, usually found when mother is sick during pregnancy or randomized.
Blind: Kit is born without their sight. Minus hunting, minus battling. Small chance to pass to kits. Same as deafness and de-clawed.
Albinoism: Kit is born pure white, with red or violet eyes. Minus hunting, except in winter. Small chance to pass to kits. Randomized.
Melanism. Kit is born pure black, normally with blue eyes. Plus hunting and more sneaky, but more suspicious. Low chance of passing to kits. Randomized.
Bobbed Tail: No true effect. No chance to pass it down, or very little chance. Randomized.
Dwarfism: Kit is born very small. Minus battle. Very cute. Very small chance to pass down. Common in weaker mates, but aren't necessarily that weak as some of the others.
Primal Fanged: Kit is born more feral, slightly taller, usually with a bobbed tail, and bigger teeth. Plus battle, may effect hunting negatively or positively at times. Small chance to pass it down. Common in very strong cats.
Polycaudal: Kit is born with two tails. No effect. Unsure if it can be passed down.
If incest occurs, and weaker cats continue to breed into the blood line, lethal mutations may occur. Be wary.
