"Okay, can you tell me their name?" The operator asks.

'Another one? That's a little strange. What did they want them for?' The operator questions the caller's motive.

"He occasionally went by the nickname K, he never really liked his actual name. He always got mad when anyone addressed him by it."

"K? That black-haired streetfighter?" She asked, her voice curious.

Leona muttered, "I told him to stop that nonsense. But yes, him."

"Right, but someone called about him earlier. Not sure who."

"May I ask why? He's my son, please. I need to know he's safe."

"Sorry, Ma'am. I'm not allowed to disclose that information to the general public. The caller is... very private."

"Please, Miss. I'll do anything," Leona pleads, her cries becoming louder.

"I'm sorry. I kinda like my job."

She sighs, "Thanks anyway."

Before his mother hung up, the operator managed to say one thing.
"Beware of the Gifted."

His mother was left confused, staring at her phone in her hand.

In Eastgale - C's house - 8 hours earlier

A five-year-old boy runs around the house trying to find his older sister. He yells over and over and over again, continuously getting no response.

"Sissy!" The red-headed boy yells, "Where'd you go?"

"Joey!" Janet, his mother, yells, "What do you need her for?"

He runs to his mother in the kitchen. His face was full of innocence as he answered his mother's question.

"She promised to get me a toy if I was a good boy at school today," He responds, teetering on the balls of his feet.

"And were you?"

His mother watched his smile grow wider and he nodded.

"Maybe she's not home. Wait a couple of minutes. She should be getting home in a little bit, okay?"

Moments passed before Joey became antsy with impatience. He tries to keep still, watching TV with his mother on the couch.

"Mama! Where is she? She should be here right now," He whines, on the edge of a temper tantrum.

"Let's call her, Joey," She tries, pulling out her phone. Her son calms down, grinning.

Dialing her daughter's number, she waits as it rings. Not noticing her youngest son running into another room, she frowns as it went into a dial tone. She tries once more.

"Mama!" Joey yells, running into the living room with something in his hand. "I found her phone!"

Janet hangs up, frowning. She grabs her daughter's phone from his hand and stares at it. Knowing her daughter is constantly on her phone, she becomes worried.

"Where'd you find this, Sweetie?" She asks, concerned.

"Sissy's room!" He perks up, not realizing what was happening. "Where is she?"

"She's playing Hide and Seek. I think she was hiding in her room, Joey. Why don't you try and find her?" Janet pushes him towards the other room, before quickly walking to the kitchen.
She grabs the house phone and dials another number.

"911. What's your emergency?" The operator asks.

"I'd like to report a missing person," Janet responded, glancing up the stairs.

"What's their name, Miss?" The operator asks for the third time today.

"Um, classified due to strict restrictions. But her last name is Brookside."

"Oh! C? The little redheaded artist? A previous caller asked about her before. Not sure why. Before you ask though, I can't disclose anything about the caller or what he wanted," The operator mentioned, after realizing the similar issues between the three calls.

She sighs, "Please. She's my daughter. Her little brother is looking for her, waiting for her to come home."

"Sorry, Ma'am. I like my job."

"Thank you, anyway," Janet gives up when she realizes the lady won't budge. She glances up the stairs once more.

"Oh! Miss? One more thing. Beware of the Gifted." With that, she hangs up, leaving Janet confused more than ever.

In Novis Springs - T's Penthouse - 4 hours earlier

"Whoever took my son will answer me! Find my son! Now!" T's father yells into the phone, after realizing his son was missing from his room.

"Yes, Sir. Right away, Sir," His assistant complied quietly through the phone.

"Make sure no one else knows that my son is missing. I mean it, Kimmell," His father growls into the phone before slamming it back into the receiver. He leans on his desk, heavily sighing.

"Where could this boy have gone? He should've been home. I've made sure that he was safe 24/7. I made sure that his schedule was to my liking. To his liking. What could I have done wrong," His father mutters to himself, pacing around in his office.

While pacing around his office, T's father was unaware of the presence behind his door. One of the maids was listening after hearing yelling from her boss's office.

She huffs, muttering to herself, "Of course, he doesn't want to reveal about his son missing. How it would be bad for his company and bad for his reputation."

The maid runs away to her room and immediately calls the police.

"911. What's your emergency?" The operator repeats, hoping that this is the last one.

"I-I like to report a missing person," The maid stuttered, trying to keep quiet.

"Okay, what's their name?"

"I'm not sure, his father never really told his servants his name. But uh, the last name is uh, Karus," The maid quietly replies.

"T? The blonde little rich kid? He's safe, miss. You can tell your boss that he's helping with the Precinct. No need to worry about him. He's with our Delphic team," The operator smoothly lies, as they have told her to say exactly so when he calls.

"Uh, oh okay. Yes, Ma'am. I'll tell him right away."

The maid hangs up and quickly runs to her boss's office. She bursts into his office, panting slightly.

"Sir, someone called saying he's helping with the precinct. He's safe and the officers say not to worry."

"What?" He yells, slamming down on his desk. "Why didn't he tell me? I specifically told him if he was going anywhere to report to me first."

"I know, but one of the officers from the precinct called to say that he was with him. I don't think they realized that he forgot. But sir, he's safe. He's with their Delphic team."

T's father takes multiple breaths before sighing, "Okay. That's fine. All that matters is that he's safe. Is that all?"

The maid looks up, "Hmm? Oh yes, of course, sir."

She walks out of the office, shaking. She has never walked into her boss's office without permission before. She sighed and quickly ran to her room.

"Hopefully the boss will never find out about that. Ever," The maid leans against her door, sliding down onto the floor. "He should never find out."
