I've been in my office ever since I had that talk with Calum. I'm taking this thing a little too seriously if you ask me. Why on earth would I trust a criminal? I don't know, but I do. I've been thinking a lot and each thought just ends up being a dead end, but once I'm done talking to Calum I get an idea. I refused to share anything of what I have in mind with anyone. I won't even share with Cooper and he's my boss. At this point, I feel like I can't even trust myself. I'm so confused.
"Hey, you alright in here?"
I looked up to see Evan standing in my door frame.
I nodded.
"Do you have anything? A lead?"
I looked at my chart, which I maximized on my white board. "That's about it." I pointed to it.
He turned around and looked at it.
"This is some smart thinking." He laughed.
I laughed along and walked over to him.
"I added Viviana and Daniel. Two more people who lead us no where." I paused. "I even placed a question mark next to their names."
"Yeah, but names are good, no?" He asked. "It's something. You even added Jocelyn to this chart."
"I guess. I only added her because she leads back to Calum. Like pretty much everything on this chart does."
"At least now you're somewhat off the case for the murder of Miranda and Luke." He said as he placed his hands in his pockets. "Though Jai Brooks is still missing."
I looked at my chart. Evan is- then it hit me.
"Miranda!" I looked at her name.
"What about her?"
"Miranda, she said that the people she worked for would threaten her. To kill her family and everyone she knew." I paused. "Calum was said to be a supposed 'client' of Michael's. Calum even said he used to be associated with Michael." I stared at a confused Evan. "What if the girl Miranda mentioned about being locked in the basement was Jocelyn."
"So-"
"We find Michael, we find Jocelyn." I said.
