y/n's pov
i heard my phone ring which immediately woke me up. it was a call from kairi, my childhood bestfriend and crush.
i have been crushing on him the moment i saw him. i just don't have the courage to confess as i think it might affect our friendship.
"hey sleephead, wanna hang out?" he said.
"yeah sure. where and when" i said slurring as i was still half asleep.
"whear and whehn. right now at my house." he said mocking me.
"k lemme get ready." i responded.
i took a shower and wore my hoodie and sweatpants. i didn't have to prep much since i was just going to kairi's.
"mom, i'm gonna go to kairi's house!" i yelled.
"oh make sure to say hi to his mother from me!" she yelled back. the reason why me and kairi are best friends is because his mom and my mom are also best friends way back in middle school.
i went to kairi's house and we just hang out. like what we usually do. we were watching a movie and my head was on his shoulder. there was a kissing scene and we cknvered each others' eyes although we've seen worse. *smirk*
the movie ended and we were both in tears because the girl died from a car crash.
kairi looked at me and held both my hands.
"w-what?" i asked confused.
"i will tell you something. but promise me first that you will not be mad and this won't destroy our friendship." he said
is he gonna move? does he hate me? what did i do wrong?
"ok. i promise." i said.
"y/n, i like you." he said as his cheeks were tinted a slight shade of pink.
that is so adorable.
"wait are you for real?" i ask excitedly.
"yeah, duh." he said with a playful smile.
"kairi, i like you too!" i said squealing.
we both were squealing very loudly. omg why am i friends with this smol bean.
"oh my god so what are we now?" i said.
"whatever you want us to be." he responded with a smirk.
fuck that smirk. fuck me.
jk. hehe.
we squealed once more and kairi's mom entered the room.
"what are you doing? are you dating now?" she said.
"yes. how did you know?" kairi asked, shocked.
"you told me about your feelings for her. you also said that if you two start dating, you'd squeal to the point where my ears would come off my head." she said with a laugh.
kairi blushed as i laugh but he brushed it off and laughed aswell.
"let me take a picture of you! you two are adorable." his mom said.
we posed for the photo and she uploaded it with the caption:
