Dumating ang araw ng gig. This will be one of our performances na special because 1) we have our band's name na and 2) we have a new band member.
Luke.
And, oh. Have I mentioned? Kuya and Gail are officially together now. I'm so very proud and happy for them. Though, the story is not mine to tell.
So let's just wait for Kuya or Gail.
Anyways, nasa bahay kami nina G, we're deciding on which songs will we sing on the gig.
"Hmm, how about The Best Day of My Life kaya?"
"American Authors?" I asked.
"Uh-huh." Says Gail.
"Hmm, the song's good. Pero change natin."
I was thinking of a better song when Luke spoke.
"It's Time."
"Time for what?" I asked.
"Hindi. Yun na lang yung opening act niyo. It's Time ng Imagine Dragons."
"Uh, no. Don't Stop na lang kaya?"
"Uhm, okay." Tapos nagsmile si Luke na parang meaningful na nakakaewan.
After no'n, we still brainstormed on the following songs.
Trey suggested that Luke must have a solo performance (with us, of course). Luke chose songs for himself naman: Amnesia and Heartbreak Girl daw.
He sounded like an avid 5 Seconds of Summer fan.
After nun, Luke and I should perform a duet.
"What song na?" I demanded. Wala kaming maisip na medyo rock-ish type e.
"Heaven?" Suggest ni Raven.
"Wag. Too calm." I said.
"Maps?" Suggest naman ni Gail while browsing on her phone.
"Maroon 5?" Tanong naman ni Luke.
"Yup."
"Cool."
"Hmm, sounds good. So, the lineup goes like this. Don't Stop, band name announcement, introduction ni Luke, Amnesia, Heartbreak Girl, and lastly..." I looked at the four of them. "...Maps."
Nag-thumbs ups na sila so we started practicing sa music room nina Gail. G's house is like a mansion talaga.
After practicing, we ate burgers. May cook kasi sina G eh. Ang yamaaaaaan.
Nagkwentuhan lang kami ng kung anu-ano hanggang maghapon na.
"4:00 na, guys. Siguro, we need to start setting up sa Park. Let's go na?" Pag-aaya ni Gail.
"Okay." Naunang umalis sina Luke, Trey at Raven para kunin yung mga gagamitin sa music room habang naiwan muna kami ni Gail.
"Bes, kwento na please." Kanina pa akong nagpapakwento sa kanya tungkol sa nangyari sa Ceyra nung birthday niya pero ayaw.
"Ikaw ang magkwento." Gail faced me.
"Ha?"
"No one's still making your heart beat?"
"Hindi ko ma-gets."
"Don't get too blind with pain." She said then hugged me tightly.
Naglakad na siya palayo and helped the boys.
