Annalisa Isabella Sanchez:
a twenty-six-year-old legal assistant from Montreal who was aboard Flight 340 to go home for the summer. Annalisa is due to start law school at Harvard in the fall. She was sat in seat 23E on the plane, near the emergency exit. Her parents reside in Havana, Cuba.
Adrian Patrick Reyes:
a thirty-year-old architect from Toronto who was aboard Flight 340 to go on Vacation. Adrian is training to take over his father's architecture company when his dad retires next Christmas. Adrian grew up in downtown Toronto, living a very privileged lifestyle. He was in first-class, enjoying the fine champagne as the plane went down.
Marissa Sanchez:
The twin of Annalisa who died in a car accident at the age of 20. Marissa and Annalisa were driving home from the mall one night when a drunk driver smashed into their car. The impact killed Marissa instantly, and the trauma has stayed with Annalisa ever since. Annalisa has a tendency to be jumpy around loud noises and still blames herself for the death of her twin.
Eleanor Reyes:
The (ex) fiancee of Adrian Reyes, who went to work one day and never came home. Eleanor's body was never found, and the case has turned cold. Eleanor disappeared when she was twenty-six, and Adrian was twenty-three. Adrian has no plans to move on but is being urged to find a new girl by his family, who claims he needs a 'rebound.'
