Chapter 23

"Yea. Just tired." She sighed and smiled.

"Aight, let's get outta here." He took her by her hand. "We'll see y'all tonight."

"Yea man." Aug answered as they left.

"You good baby?" I climbed onto him as he laid there.

"Why he here?" He looked at me.

"Babe?" I sighed.

"Answer my question Alei."

"This was his weekend for Amirah and I forgot." I sighed and got off him.

"Where you going?" He sat up.

"To pee. I need your permission for that now?" I looked at him.

"What's that suppose to mean?"

"Nothing August." I shook my head and walked into the bathroom.

"Why you being like this?" I heard him yell.

"Because you're testing me." I yelled back as I finished off.

Washing my hands I walked back out into the bedroom. What does it matter if he is here or not.

"Because I don't trust his ass and you know this."

"Yea well regardless Aug, me and him have a child together and I can't tell him he can't see her."

"So he couldn't see her next weekend?"

"Do you hear yourself right now? You're getting mad over the fact that he came to see his child. He isn't here for me."

"Aight Alei. Bet."

Taking a deep breath, I exhaled and sat down. I was beginning to feel some cramps and the last thing I needed right now was to over exert myself.

"You ok?" He came over to me.

"Yes I'm fine." I moves his hand away from me.

"Alei?"

"August I'm fine."

"Babe I'm sorry ok. I ain't mean to act like that but you know his ass sneaky."

"I know this August but I know where I'm at too. I don't want him and nothing he can do or say can make me go."

"Ok baby." He placed his hands on my belly.

"Now feed me." I smiled.

"What you want?"

"We, want pizza and Chinese." I smiled.

"Get ya flip flops, let's go."

Doing a little dance in my seat, I smiled before getting them. Same time we walked out, Druex came out with Amirah.

"I thought y'all left already?"

"Your mom was doing her hair."

"Oh ok."

While we spoke, Aug and Amirah were interacting. The way he was with her was just beautiful.

"You ready ladybug?"

"Yes daddy. Bye mommy, bye uncle Aug." She waved.

"Later baybeh girl."

Going our separate ways once Outside, Aug and I waited for the car to come around.

"Which first?"

"Pizza."

"Got ya." He kissed my cheek.

Watching at him through the mirror, I smiled as he licked his lips.
