I'm sorry that my words hurt like knives
I'm sorry I didn't know what to say
I'm sorry I didn't complete my thought
Which you did give me a chance to say
I'm sorry I did not know what I was saying
And paused in my speech
Causing you to think
Of what I might have
Been thinking
Cause it was not
What I was think
I'm sorry I blabbed
I'm sorry I can't speak
I'm sorry for all the shit I've done
I'm sorry I'm a terrible person
I'm sorry for gaslighting you just then
I promise I won't ever do it again
But can I really make that promise
Can I change my ways
We will just have to see which way the wind blows
I sit here hoping you will stay
I will not beg though
Because my pride is too big
Whether that is good or not
Is under question
By me and other people in the world
I would ask you to forgive me
But I will not
Because as I always say
It's your choice
And I cannot force you to do anything
