In the North, the wind blows making the house sway.

This house can hardly be called a house, with just a few bamboos that were used as beams, a wall made of mud and a roof made of straw.

If the wind was any stronger, the people inside would have been long blown away.

In the corner, a sobbing little voice sounded softly, with a pair of cold hands she tightly tugged at the person next to her. "Brother, I am hungry."

A pair of young siblings shrank in the corners of the wall. The large one wrapped the little one, snuggling up for warmth.

Hearing the little child, the older one stretched out his hand and found a piece of leftover cold sweet potato, which was enough for two or three bites.

"We'll eat more later" he said as he put the sweet potato in the little one's hand. He stared at the woman lying on the bed, rubbing his hungry empty belly.

‘Let's wait a little more until she gets up and we'll eat sweet potatoes.’ The older child comforts the younger.

The woman on the bed had been lying there all day. The last trace of heat in the kang bed had long dissipated. She suddenly moved and sat upright.

"Go to hell--" Gu Chunzhu's eyes were red, with a flash of madness.

Her anger slowly dissipated, her eyes slowly looked at the uneven muddy wall. She realized that something was wrong. Where is this?

She raised her hand screaming, each of her fingers was fat, her hands were dirty, and there was mud in the nails as well. This was not her hand at all!

"Where am I?" Gu Chunzhu tried to recall her last memories before losing consciousness, holding her head.

Her damn husband who had been married to her for ten years, filed a divorce because of her inability to have children. In addition to this, he took three houses and a Mercedes-Benz car. Gu Chunzhu let him.

Everyone around her thought that she had resigned to her fate. Who told her not to have children? For women, this was such a shame!

Just when her ex-husband and his mistress received their permit, Gu Chunzhu poured gasoline on the Mercedes-Benz and lit it on fire.

Just before they were burned to death, he confessed that it was him who was infertile. He accused her of everything to protect his dignity. His mistress’s child was not his, all along.

With a bang, the Mercedes-Benz car finally exploded, killing the dog couple.

Gu Chunzhu still remembers the last look Chen Chong gave her, it was fear, remorse ... but it was not important anymore, those who love her, she would take good care of them, and those who betray her, she would not be soft-hearted.

She killed two people and was not planning on spending her life in prison, so before the police car arrived, she climbed up the tallest building nearby and like a bird jumped down. That was her last memory.

"We're hungry, you ... you ... take out the key, I want to eat sweet potatoes!" The dirty little boy grabbed Gu Chunzhu's sleeve, although he was afraid and trembling, the words he spoke were extraordinarily firm.

Half a head behind him was also a dirty young girl.

"What are you ... what sweet potatoes, what keys, ah?!" Gu Chunzhu was stunned by this, with a sudden pang on her head, she passed out.

The time she passed out was extremely short. The memories of the original owner played in her mind like a movie. Her eyelids trembled as she slowly opened her eyes

She already knew that she had traveled to an ancient dynasty, the Min Dynasty, which was not recorded in the ancient history books.

The original owner of this body was also called Gu Chunzhu. Her maiden name was Gu Jiayu and she was now married to Su Wangqin in Xiaohetou Village. He is an ex-soldier with 2 kids. The older one is eight years old and the youngest is only four years old.

Gu Chunzhu sat up. The faces of the two children standing by the bed were dirty. She didn't know how long it was since they last washed their faces.

"Sweet potatoes!" The little boy repeated, with fear in his eyes.

Gu Chunzhu, who had the memory of the original owner, understood the meaning in his eyes. Each time the two children would reach out to her like beggars, the original owner would give them two pieces of sweet potatoes, just enough so they wouldn’t starve to death. She would often scold them and even beat them up.

"Okay, I'll get it for you." Gu Chunzhu died without any children, so her heart was full of motherly affection. She wanted to touch the little boy's head with distress. She remembered his name was Xiaocheng, Su Xiaocheng, and the little girl was called An’an, Su An.

Xiaocheng turned his head away, watching Gu Chunzhu defensively.

Gu Chunzhu thought about how the original owner used to scold the children in the past.

"Shameless!"

"Two wild species!"

“Why not fall from the mountain and fall to death? Why not drown in the river?!"

"Just wait, someday I will sell both of you!”

Now, recalling the harshness, no wonder the two children resisted her so much.

Gu Chunzhu thought that since she had borrowed the life of the original owner, she would have to live well. She had not enjoyed the joy of being a mother for 35 years in her previous life. Now, wasn't this a kind of compensation from God giving her two children!

As for the gap between her and the children, it can only be slowly resolved by her efforts.

"Okay, I'll get it now." Gu Chunzhu lifted the quilt and got up from the bed. The cold wind poured from her neckline, making her shiver. The fat on her stomach trembled.

Gu Chunzhu touched her own flesh, feeling emotional. They were so poor but she was so fat.

According to the location of the key in her memory, she smoothly pulled out the key from a stone pile in the hut and opened the rosewood box that contained half a basket of cooked sweet potatoes.

She lifted the basket out.

"Xiaocheng, An An, come and eat sweet potatoes." Gu Chunzhu turned her head and squeezed a smile to the two children.

The two children gathered around carefully, Gu Chunzhu picked up the sweet potatoes in the basket and prepared to hand it to them. Seeing the two dirty hands in front of her, she frowned and retracted her hands again.

"Waa... An’an is hungry, An’an wants to eat sweet potatoes." The little girl thought Gu Chunzhu regretted her decision, and her tears rolled down on her long eyelashes, like dew in the morning.

"Oh, don't cry, I just ..." Gu Chunzhu wanted to explain, but the sound of knocking on the door came covering her voice.

"Daughter in law, come out for me. It's the first day, it's time to pay filial piety!" A sharp voice rang out from the door.
