Why Me?

Introduction

       This is a one shot with Ron Weasley bashing, angst, and mentions of war. All in all, it's pretty depressing.

          Harry Potter walked onto Hogwart's grounds and smiled; its been a long ten years since he had seen this place. After the war, Hogwarts had to undergo a complete reconstruction because of how low her magic was and because of severe damage. Without magic, Hogwarts could not defend herself let alone heal on her own. Harry, Hermione, Ron, and the whole students of Hogwarts were invited to be the first ones to see the new and improved Hogwarts, if they wanted to.

         Scanning the crowd, he searched for the trio of redheads among the sea of brown, blonde, black, etc.

        "Ron, Ginny, Hermione!"

         The trio of Weasleys snapped their heads over to  the caller breaking into identical beaming grins.

        "Harry!"

        Hermione ran towards Harry, giving him a massive bear hug (learned from the master of hugs herself, Molly Weasley) and pecked his cheek. She had definitely grown from her seventeen year old body. Her past bushy and frizzy ginger hair was now tame and slightly wavy. Her former round face had curved into a gentle heart shaped frame while her green eyes 

came next, giving him a small smile and another bone crushing hug before letting the last of their trio come forth. Ron and Harry stared at each other for a minute before huge grins blossomed on their faces.

       "Hey mate." Ron slapped him on the back with the grin still intact.

        Harry grinned back at him. It was good to be back again. He started to walk in but stopped seeing a flash of white blonde hair.

         "Malfoy?"

          Turning around was none other than Draco Malfoy. The last Harry heard of him, he was slowly but surely regaining the Malfoy name. He had gained it from his father since he was in Azkaban, and his mother was currently scouting for Malfoy allies to help regain their status.

           As far as Harry could tell, he had changed from the war against Voldemort. Truthfully, he hadn't really forgiven Malfoy for what he had done. All those people killed, Tonks, Remus, Sirius, Crabbe, Dumbledore, Snape.... It was part of his fault also. He also had to keep in mind that most of it was Voldemort's doings along with his "faithful" death eaters who were all hopefully rotting in hell.

            He was about a head taller than Harry even though he had a growth spurt 5 months ago. A combed layer of white blonde hair rested on his head followed bu, was that part of a fringe over his right eye? Pale eyes searched his for negative commentary before responding:

            "I know I look good Potter, but I have a wife and son waiting for me at home."

            "Shut up Malfoy."

             Draco grinned and held his hand out. Harry shook it. Ron scowled, but (impressively) reigned in his temper.

             The blonde walked off telling them he'd see them in the Great Hall. Ron grumbled incoherently but stomped in the direction of Hogwarts. Giving each other exasperated looks, Hermione, Ginny, and Harry followed him into the great school of magic.

Hullo there,

          I just want to say that no, I am not finished with "The Badass Meets The Jerk". Nor am I putting it on hold. I am currently writing a chapter right now actually that will at least have 4,000 words.

          Thank you for all of the people who have still stuck with me this far.

            Normally I would finish a story and  move on. This idea kept on nagging me until I wrote it down. I was feeling like bashing Ron ever since reading the fourth book (GoF) of  the Harry Potter series. Now I am. End of story.

          I have no idea when the next chapter of either of the stories will be up so bare with me. It will be this week though, so don't get your hopes up.
