a/n: originally "logan" was jed so there's a lot of similarities between the two. i chose to change it because i know he's moved on so i thought it was for the best. if you see any place i accidentally put his name, let me know and i'll change it
"Yeah, that sounds perfect. I can't wait," Jade said from her bunk on the tour bus.
Her quiet voice could be heard from around the bus, which was fairly quiet at the minute. Jesy was also on the phone making sure Chris got on his flight safely. Perrie and Leigh-Anne were curled up on the couch, focused on their phones.
"Is she talking to him again?" Jesy asked as she joined the other two girls on the couch.
"Yeah, they've been talking for a while," Leigh-Anne said, not taking her eyes off of her phone. Jesy nodded and looked down in the brunette's direction. Jade had a smile on her face as she spoke on the phone. Jesy grinned as she grabbed the tv remote and started flicking through Netflix.
After a few minutes, Jade's voice went quiet and footsteps were heard in the small hallway. Jade emerged with a soft smile and sat down next to Jesy on the couch.
"You look happy!" Perrie said cheerfully as she noticed the slight bounce in the brunette's step.
"Yeah, I'm going out with that Logan guy again tomorrow," she said. "What date is this now?" Jesy asked. "The fourth," Jade said. The other girls looked at her impressed. Jade's been single for a while now and every guy she went out with didn't get past the second.
"I thought he was away touring?" Leigh-Anne asked confused. "He is but our tours overlap tomorrow," Jade explained. "Then, he's going to try to fly out and meet us in Paris at our last show."
"Aw, that's so romantic," Jesy said to which Jade nodded.
Jade and Logan were introduced to each other through Jesy, who has mutual friends with him. The pair hung out as friends for a few months before they went on their first official date about a month ago. The girls started their Summer tour a few weeks ago and every time that Logan and his band were in town they were sure to see each other.
"There is one thing that's kind of making me confused about him," Jade said in a more serious tone. The other three girls immediately took note of her voice and sat up.
"What's going on babes?" Jesy asked. Jade looked down to play with her hands . "Every time we've hung out it's always at my place or somewhere out. He's never invited me over," she said. The other girls were silent for a few moments, unsure of how to handle this.
"It's probably nothing, just me being in denial that a guy actually likes me," Jade said quieter then before. "Oh shush, we'll find out why. It could just be he has roommates or maybe it's not very tidy?" Perrie said. "Yeah has he said anything about roommates or his family?" Leigh asked.
Jade shook her head. "He lives alone. I've been to the majority of his close friends' houses when we hung out so I know that. As for his family, I brought it up once after Karl called me while we were at dinner once. He looked uncomfortable to I didn't bring it up again," Jade said.
"Jesy, can you think of anything? Besides Jade, you know the most about him," Leigh-Anne asked. "No, I've only spoken to him at parties and gatherings before. Not long enough to really get to know him," she said.
At this point all four girls were stumped. It could be nothing, Jade thought. But it also could be something. Jesy saw the frustration on Jade's face and pulled her into her side, letting her head rest on Jesy's shoulder.
After a minute or two, Leigh-Anne broke the silence. "Babe have you checked his Instagram?" she asked. Jade thought for a moment before shaking her head. "You've been talking for a month and you haven't looked at his social media?" Perrie asked chucking.
"No, I didn't want that to influence the way I felt about him, and I'm still on my break from social media so I haven't been on there as it is," Jade said.
About two months ago Jade started receiving a lot of hate out of the blue. The negativity was making her quite self-conscious and anxious that the girls convinced her to take a break from it for a little while until it died down.
"Should I?" Jade asked. The other three girls gave her nods. "Okay," Jade sighed and pulled out her phone. She logged on and searched up his name. Sure enough, his account came up and she tapped on it, bringing her to his profile. She scrolled for a minute before stopping. "There's nothing here, all of this is normal."
Leigh-Anne squinted her eyes at her and took out her own phone. She too, went to Logan's Instagram account and started scrolling. Once she had gone through a few more of his pictures, she tapped on the pictures he's been tagged in.
Leigh-Anne knew Jade wasn't dumb. One of the first things to do is see the pictures they're tagged in. She just didn't want to find something she didn't want to know so Leigh, being the good friend she is, did it for her.
She started scrolling and stopped once something caught her eye. There was a lot of pictures of a blonde girl, maybe around the age of six or seven. She tapped on one of the pictures and looked at it. The post was from someone, who Leigh-Anne assumed to be Logan's mum. It was a picture of Logan and the little girl smiling at what looked like a park. The caption said: She missed you.
Oh, must be his niece or some family member, Leigh-Anne thought.
She scrolled through more photos of the little girl until she stopped at a post from Logan's sister. The picture was of his sister playing with the girl. The caption read Auntie duties.
Leigh-Anne's jaw dropped slightly as a lightbulb went off in her head. Jade immediately saw her facial expression change, which worried the girl. "What?" Jade asked panicked. Leigh just simply turned the phone to face her, unsure of how to explain. Jade's face fell as she read the caption and looked at the picture. The pieces started coming together for all of them.
"Are you okay?" Perrie asked. Jade nodded but she didn't make eye contact with any of them.
"Does this change the way you feel about him?" Leigh asked.
"I don't think so, I don't know," Jade said bringing her hands to her face. "I'm sorry, I didn't know," Jesy said rubbing Jade back. "It's alright."
Jade wasn't sure how to feel. Should she be scared? Should she be mad that he didn't tell her? Should she be happy because of how cute they were together in the pictures? She didn't know. She wasn't even sure if their thoughts were true. She needed answers but only answers that Logan could provide.
