My shadow fell on the lamp post
On the 6th street
It was desolate, not a thing would move
It was just the wind
Gusting across my earsBut there was something conspicuous
Your scent
Unaware it was yours
A smile rose on my faceI lift my chin to see a familiar figure
With a different heartThere was mere distance between us
Yet we were miles apartOur eyes met
And I experienced the same shock
Just like the first time
But ur heartless reaction
Made me take a step backYou held a huge sum of hatred on your lips
But I would swim into your eyes to see a lonely soul
Help! It cries
Come out, I say
I promise to lead you to bright
But ego over powers it
And pushes me away from youWere all those moments fake?
Were your words a lie?
Was that feeling ever true?
