Scattered Thoughts

Strange to say, I do not know what to write

Seems so hard to decipher wrong from right

They say the darkness is conquered by light

That strength is not measured by might

If they do not know the duration of the night

How then do we expect the proverbial light

The much spoken one that comes at the end of the

night

My incoherent thoughts are taking over my mind

Am I alone with this thought or its one of a kind

The extent of damage done to the earth by

humankind

Thankfully God isn't one of our kind

Human existence would have been a thing of the

past

How did we get here? Yes! How do we manage to

kill so fast

Life is now so meaningless as it doesn't seem to

last

Speaking the truth now makes one an outcast

ISIS here Boko Haram there

People living in fear

Leaders declaring intentions everywhere

Blood spilling gradually becoming the norm and

they do not care

Makes me wonder if there is God

And I realised I just shared a figment of my

scattered thoughts
