Two lives torn apart and thrust into an unknown future together.
Gabriella Marie Saunders is the new owner of her father's company. She is a polite, nurturing and sometimes ladylike young soul. Being the pride and joy of her parents; she's adored b...
David huffed out a breath. "Your husband was worried about you. He said he's been trying to call you and you're not answering."
Gabriella's shoulders slumped, "Oh. That."
"Why did you leave the house without telling him Gabriella?" He frowned, "It's common decency to let him know where you're going so he doesn't have to wonder where you are. You know better than that Gabriella."
Gabriella knew it was. If she wasn't upset she would've probably told her before she left. But she had other stuff on her mind. And besides, he wouldn't have cared; she didn't know why he chose to make it a big deal.
Gabriella's loosened her ponytail and reclined in the chair with a sigh, "Dad, he's the reason you're fulling my head like this? Daddy that's a small matter. As of right now, my head is hurting and I need rest."
David rolled his eyes, "Whatever. I'm going back to my office; Kingsley has been waiting to speak to me."
She smiled, "Okay, have fun."
David stood and ruffled her hair as he passed her. "K. Call your husband."
"Sure thing champ."
It was about an hour later when Gabriella finally reached for her purse on the arm of the chair and took out her phone. Her phone was on silent for the entire time she was out. She didn't feel like answering any calls. She stood and went out to the backyard; just incase she had to give Andrew a piece of her mind.
She unlocked her phone. She had fifteen missed calls and two texts; all were from Andrew. She dialed his number and waited for him to answer. It didn't take long. "Gabriella where the hell are you?!"
She moved the phone away from her ear, "Do you have to be shouting in my ears like that? Why are you calling me? Did the house burn down?"
"Gabriella don't get me vexed. What do mean why am I calling you? You left this house and you never said that you were leaving. What the hell do you think I would think? And to make it worse, you wouldn't even answer your phone."
Gabriella stayed silent. She'd rather be relaxing than talking to him.
"Hello? Gabriella?" He asked when he didn't hear her.
"Yeah."
"So you have nothing to say to me?"
She shrugged, "What do you expect me to say. You don't tell me where you go to; sometimes for days I don't see you. You don't even answer my calls and when you do answer, you have an attitude; like someone stuck a cactus in your ass-"
"Watch your-"
"I'm not done. When you do decide to show your face at home and I ask you, 'Andrew, where were you? I was worried about you?' what do you always tell me? You tell me to mind my business. So, my friend, mind your business and I will mind my own." After that, he hung up the phone.
She didn't care. Let him call Amelia and find out where she is. Gabriella planned to spend the night at her parents anyway. Her phone vibrated when she received a message.
Husband It's late. What time are you coming home?
Me Tomorrow.
Husband Gabriella make sure you're in my house by 11. Tonight.
Me I'm not going anywhere. It's not like anything is different at home.
He responded moments later.
Husband So you refuse to come home, willingly? Fine. Good night.
Me Good night to you too.
Glad that the conversation was over, she went inside to have a shower then joined her mother in the living room to watch a movie until they both fell asleep on the couch.
