"Are you done?" He shouted from the hallway.

"Just a second!" I scrambled my beach bag and sun hat from the bed, but not before having a good look at myself in the mirror dressed in the lovely navy blue floral print dress I hurriedly put on. I hustled down the stairs with thunderous footsteps.

I rushed to the kitchen, grabbing the sandwiches and some snacks from the counter. Andrew and I are going to spend the day at the beach with Andrew's family then return home the next day.

"Andrew did you carry the fruits to the car already?"

"Yes." Startled, I twirled around when his swarthy voice was too close for comfort. We're matching. That's the first thing I noticed when he walked in. His navy blue shorts fitted his thighs perfectly along with the blue and white POLO jersey that fitted the contorts of his torso just right.

I gazed at his face. He got a haircut. His now short curls moved away from his face and were neatly tousled. He stared at me with a gaze so intense it sent a shiver down my spine.  It doesn't take long to get lost in his brown -greenish eyes. I wanted to do nothing more than to be next to him,  even though my heart rate went a mile a minute.

For a fraction of a second his cold facade faltered. His eyes dragged along the curves of my form with such curiosity. His eyes met mine once more, making butterflies erupt within me. He inched closer, his Adam's apple bobbed as he stared at my lips. Then all of sudden, he shook his head, and all traces of emotion were gone; he scrunched up his face as though he was confused.

"You're in my way." He spoke, taking several steps back while he was at it.

I blinked, "What?"

Rolling his eyes, he pointed at the fridge. "Excuse me."

"Oh, my bad." I side stepped so he could get what he wanted from the fridge. He braced on the other side of the counter then opened a pack of yogurt.

"Andrew," He looked up from the yogurt he was eating.

I shifted uncomfortablely, "Um, I want to talk to you. It's about what happened a while back."

He looked down and stirred the yogurt in his cup. "It has already happened. I don't want to talk about it."

"Why?" He didn't answer; instead threw the cup in the trash and walked away.

Oh well...

I followed him out of the house and entered the car whilst he locked the door. He entered the car and we were on our way to the beach. To say that the car ride was awkward would be an understatement. Not a word was exchanged between us yet it felt like so much needed to be said. The music coming from the radio did nothing to bring the uncomfortable silence to an end. I felt like a dog at a cats' event. Unwanted and out of place. Taking the liberty to fix anything or even move in his car was like an offense.

My auburn hair blew wildly as the wind was tumultuous with the speed he was driving with. I rolled up the window. Only for it to be rolled down by Andrew minutes later.

I scoffed and rolled up the window again. I grabbed my bag and searched for a hair tie. He rolled the window down again, sending a blast of wind in and scattered my hair that I had swooped over my shoulder. I looked at him, his were eyes set on the road. "Really?"

"Leave the window down." He ordered.

"I'm trying to tie my hair. I wouldn't get to do that if the wind keeps blowing my hair all over." I reasoned.

"I don't care about your hair, leave the window down."

I shook my head,"You're so inconsiderate."
