it was a gloomy thursday.

when donghyuck suddenly came to him crying.

and as anyone would be, renjun was confused when he saw hyuck with his head in his hands.

"hyuck, what's w-wrong?"

this time renjun's voice was coated with actual worry, unlike other times

the younger choked out a sob, getting ready to explain the situation

"i-i-"

he stuttered a few times, but renjun insisted he take his time.

"I broke up with mark."

renjun never would've thought he would feel such a grand feeling of satisfaction.

but at the same time he felt horrible for feeling so happy at something he shouldn't be feeling content about.

"what? why?"

"i-i fell in love with someone else.."

so much for all those years of renjun's pain and suffering

"how? why? and who?!"

"j-jeno, he's in our study hall class.."

renjun mentally facepalmed

"he made me feel, some type of way...
a way I've never felt with mark..."

"shouldn't you be happy about this?"

renjun impatiently asked, just wanting to go find mark.

so they could move on and have the happy ending renjun always longed for

"i had to cut a four year relationship,
you wouldn't know how hard it is cause you've never liked anyone!"

donghyuck accidentally yelled, surprising renjun at first.

but the more the words rung in his head, the more renjun thought about telling donghyuck about his crush on mark since even before he and mark were dating

but he decided to spare the younger's feelings and walk away
ignoring the apologies donghyuck threw at him,

but an apology alone wouldn't be able to repair renjun's four years of hurt

so he walked aimlessly through the empty halls  of the school.

with no idea of where his legs were taking him.

but with the objective to find mark.
