Silence

Silence, his loudest fear,
Something move, someone cheer!
Everything is still, there's no one here.

He tries to cover it with the sound of music,
But it bounces off the brick,
And the echo makes him sick,
He feels like such a prick.

"Help! I'm scared" he screams,
The sound is muffled by the lack of self esteem,
His voice is nothing compared to the grand scheme,
A whisper against the supreme.

No one to save him, no one to care,
Never a compliment to his hair,
They turned him away, as he was unaware,
But now he realises, life's not fair.

He looks down at his beaten body,
His shirt ripped, his knees muddy,
His neck bruised and his wrists bloody,
He's as small as a flea.

He can't love or fight,
He can't go here or there, or take a flight,
He too weak, he can't fight,
He can't even live, he doesn't have the right.

Silenced,
Abused,
Man,

Sam.

The dysphoria didn't cause that.

They did.

Silence.
