Chapter 12 The Tales

The doctor bows, walking out of the room. Sun sits at a chair, seeing the siblings couldn't help but stare at Sun's left empty shirt sleeve.

"So, you guys sure have questions. I'll give you some answers, you guys did save my life and all"

The siblings were surprised by Sun's offer, all of them huddling up near Ken and Kai's bed.

"Ok first question, what were those things? We've seen monsters before but they didn't have floating swords and a giant portal from the sky"

Kai demanded, Sun stroking his chin as he groans from the thought.

"They're demons; some call them god's mistake, some calls them punishment from god, though those are just from religious nut cases. We've been fighting for the past decades, to be honest I was expecting Po'Tchari to at least mention demons to you. He must've been hiding it from you guys for some reason."

This grown some suspicion upon the group, what else could their caretaker could be hiding from them?

"A race that came from a different dimension, they're hellbent on killing every single one of us. Reasons why, I don't know, they kill first so and we can't exactly send scouts to another dimension."

"Then why not capture one and try...I don't know, reading their minds. There has to be Mages who have abilities like that!"

Roman's suggests, the group's thoughts immediately going to Dabon, the Valor Academy's temporary headmaster.

"Dabon is good but not that good and all the best mages are either at their missing city or somewhere far away. They do tend to like being alone."

"Missing city?"

A missing city of mages seem to suddenly grab the interest of the children, their attention slightly shifting.

"Yep, long ago mages and...non mages didn't like each other so to avoid a war, they had their own city but that city disappeared with a lot of mages. No one knows how, though I don't exactly pay that much attention to history."

"Ok but even so, there has to be at least one demon that turns traitor, you guys have been in a war for decades"

Arthur was eager to turn back, he wanted to see Sun's explanation to the end, maybe more than the others.

"You'll be surprised by how many demons actually try to switch sides but if they do turn traitor they...suddenly die, death by head explosion. Scientist speculate that someone is pulling the strings, possibly like a chip in their necks."

The siblings creating the image of multiple demons with their heads missing, everything covered with their own blood inside their mind.

"So any more questions?"

Sun sat back against his chair, waiting for the siblings to decide their final questions.

The siblings look at each other, huddling close together to discus their options, they nod minutes later, looking back at Sun.

"We have three, one what happened to Blitz and Ace?"

"Since Blitz was still healing from his little fight with Ken when he joined the fight, since he pushed himself too much he is healing in another room, probably needs to stay put for now. Ace decided to stay put with him, he thinks Blitz will do something dumb by himself."
