Gwen: gem is a pink topaz, weapon is a scythe, and she has quite a bit of strength going for her. Her mother fell for her father because of his goofy charming ness but they never planned to have a child. When her mother got pregnant with her they strongly considered abortion but they decided against it. Her mother was at peace with her life and ready to give it to make anouther one and her father had always wanted to be a dad. Her father raised her with lots of love but she always felt under pressure to be like her mother and that's eventually why she decided to leave home.
David: Gem is Citrine and he doesn't have a weapon but his specialty is making things (holograms, objects, etc.). He was entirely planned and his entire life was leading up to him being something great. At first he was rather pessimistic about it but after going to camp Campbell as a young one he grew a love for the camp and teaching kids about their abilities so he took an internship as soon as he could an eventually became a councillor there.
