Later that night...
Bri's POV
"Bri?" I heard Bella whisper and the door creaked open.
"What's up, baby? You can come in," I told her and she came in and closed the door. I patted the spot next to me and she sat down.
"Are mommy and mama fighting right now?" she asked me and I sighed. I pulled her close to me.
"Why do you ask, baby?" I asked her.
"Because they haven't slept together in forever and I always wake up in the middle of the night to hearing mommy crying or I hear mama crying."
"Well they've hit a really big bump in their marriage."
"What does that mean for us? Well Adonis and I?" she asked.
"I don't know, baby. I really don't know."
"Do you think they'll get back to the way things were?"
"I hope so. How are you? Have you talked to any of your friends?"
"India is California and always busy. Maggie is in Orlando right now, but I don't consider her my friend anymore."
"Oo, what happened? Spill the tea, baby sis," I said and she giggled.
"She's friends with that Ryan boy that had got me in trouble. So on the last day of school, she was sitting by him and I told her how I felt about it. She waved me off. So I told her again. Then I said forget it and that I hope were never in the same class again. If we are, I'm gonna ask mommy to get me put in a different class because I won't tolerate any negative in fifth grade."
"Honestly, I didn't like her anyways," I replied and she giggled. I heard Adonis little stomps being muffled by the carpet and his little hand hit my door.
"O'en, sissy," he said and I could tell he had a pacifier in his mouth.
"Go open the door," I told Bella and she did. Adonis walked in and just his pull up and pajama pants with
his paci in his mouth.
"Adonis, why do you have your paci? I thought you said you didn't need it and now you're a big boy," J said leaning over to help him get in my bed.
"I nee' it, sissy," he said pulling it out of his mouth.
"Since when?" I asked him.
"Now," he replied wrapping his arms around my neck.
"Where's your shirt, baby?"
"I no kno'," he replied plopping down on my bed.
"Why are you up?" I asked him and he sighed.
"Mama cry," he said sounding like me when I was stressing for finals.
"You wanna sleep with me?" I asked him and he nodded.
"Wa'er?" he asked me and pointed to my bottle of water. I grabbed it and opened it for him. He drank half of my bottle of water and handed it back to me.
"You better not pee in my bed or I'll beat you up," I told him and he giggled. He laid across my lap and I gently trailed my nails down his back repeatedly.
"Can I sleep with you too?" Bella asked and I nodded. An hour later, Adonis got up and ran to my bathroom.
" 'elp, sissy," he said tugging on his pants. I helped him and he thanked me. He used the bathroom and washed his hands before getting back in my bed. Bella was knocked out while Adonis and I were still awake.
