it was just another sunday for the pair, the man was once again sat on the bench at the very far back of the church, she was once again sat on the very front row.

the church was pretty, beautiful old stone and stained glass, the golden sun shone through the art-filled windows, the floor covered in delicate patterned tile, stunning flowers filled the isles, yet the prettiest flower in the church was her.

she was unaware of his presence, too consumed in her joy and family, a beaming smile never left her pretty face, she was angelic, he even questioned her very existence - maybe he was seeing a real angel, but he knew that was silly.

harry had wanted to get to know the young girl for quite some time now, but he knew how inappropriate that would be, which disappointed him. though, harry didn't mind breaking the rules from time to time but he felt as though pursuing the angel was one step too far.

he stuck with observing in the distance, he didn't have a problem with this. he was content. (or so he tried to think)

the older man always arrived early to the church - for no other reason than to see the girl, accepting the fact he no longer visited the church to 'better himself' as he called it, arriving in the village in hopes of doing just that.

he needed a fresh start away from his past and to begin a hopeful present, a cloudless mind. though now his mind was completely captivated by the beautiful girl, a complete stranger to the man yet she was slowly taking over his mind

there he stood, a cigarette hanging out of his mouth as he stood behind a wall, he could see her - very clearly, walking alongside her mother, a pretty white dress covering her body with the bottom flowing in the wind, yet she couldn't see him. if anyone saw him looking at the girl he would seem weird and creepy, as if he had bad intentions.

and perhaps he did, perhaps the man had grown feelings for a girl much younger than him, he didn't even know her age yet his heart filled with warmth whenever he got a quick glance at her face, or heard the angelic sound of her laugh.

harry felt crazy, she didn't even knew he existed!

oh how people would react if he and the nymph were to do anything and people were to find out. he shouldn't be thinking like this, he knew he needed to stop.

the man was walking home now, a slight sadness in his body to the thought that it would be another week until the next service, another week until he saw the pretty girl.

but that was immature, he felt as though he needed to start controlling himself more. he needed her to stop clouding his damned mind.

he knew how to stop this feeling for a short while, a very short while and he needed any help he could get. it was silly, irresponsible, ridiculous and the man knew that.

what was the point? moving on from his bad yesterdays, leaving his family and friends to fix himself and grow up yet he was going back to it all, slowly but surely. it was a domino effect, a ticking time bomb until the man crashed once again and made a wreck of himself.

he wasn't a bad man, he just made silly mistakes in his earlier years and now he pledges not to go back to any of it.

he's going to better himself.
