Yes I know this is late. Plus it was inspired by a pic I can no longer find. I bet you've probably seen it before

Jason looked back down the sights of the sniper rifle the dam thing was starting to freeze.

Ignoring the sound of Christmas carols in the distance as the biting chill of the snow dusted air attacked his skin like daggers, the cold some how finding its way underneath the leather jacket and metal plating of his body armour. He waited like a hunter

He had been watching through the scope for hours hoping for a sign of something anything. He knew Slade was here in the city and Jason would be damed if he was going to allow some poor kid to open his or her eyes in the morning to hear there mother or father had been killed in the night.

On any day that news is the kind of think that takes a child's hope away but even more so on Christmas morning. A time of happiness reduced to nothing but suffering and lose. Gotham was a hell whole. Jason had observed this from a young age. Life had been crule to him as a boy and so was the city. It was partly this twisted memory's of his child hood that shaped him. Crafting him into the Man he was,The Red Hood, he had become as cold and as crule as Gotham itself.

He often wondered how many children woke up because of him to hear from a police man "Your father was killed by the Red Hood". Often Jason questioned if he was really any better then the man he was Currently hunting.

Even if Bruce was right it was erelevent. Stopping criminals for good in the long run meant the wouldn't be a next victim. That was all the Hood cared about even if it meant a few sleepless nights because of a little spilt blood.

This were often the grim mercy thoughts that played at the young Assassin's mind when he was alone. They would drive him to destruction the devil and angle arguing there points inside his mind were a comen thing but in the end. They just justified the next trigger pull that Is all.

Suddenly a heavy object came down on the back of his head. Bringing with it a dull thud of metal and a natuious sensation as everything dipped to black. He wasn't dying. The Vigilante knew that feeling this wasn't it. He felt angery with himself as he slowly came round.

However that anger turned to confusion very quickly when he awoke to Slade holding a big red wrapping bow and thumbaling with wrapping paper and him tied to a chair in what looked to be a living room.

"If your plain is to wrap me to death I think I'd profer the bullet." Jason said flatly watching Slade with an odd bemusement. Deathstroke looked up from his work walking over from the table bow in hand as he scribbled a note on A4 with a marker.

"Knowing the kind of man you are hood I dought you have kids." Slade said coldly sticking the bow on the top of his helmet with a clunck that rattled in the weares ears.

"If I did I wouldn't tell you, our mutual hate for each other being what it is." The vigilante said sharply trying not to give Slade a hint at the man behind the mask.

"Smart, I always knew you were a professional. But what it is I'm just sad I won't be the one to kill you hood, the bounty is very large almost as large as your ego." Deathstroke stated delivering a perfectly worded backhanded complement. He then stuck the note on the Hoods chest armour and left.

Jason looked down at it in the darkness and almost laughed when he saw what was written.

To Rose, merry Christmas. dad

Very Deathstroke Jason thought. But he couldn't help but find it funny that Slade had no idea what he had really enabled here.

After a few hours of sitting in complete darkness Red hood finally heared Combat Boots behind the door to the apartment that Jason knew belonged to Rose Wilson.

The Key turned slowly in the lock the were sounds of her muttering something outside obviously aware someone had been inside.

The was a moment of her outline looking into the darkness before she entered and turned on the light. Her reaction was something he wished he could video.

She screamed alarmed at her Boyfriend being tied up in the middle of her living room and then when the shock subsided the was a few seconds were you could see the cogs working inside her brain. She took off her black biker jacket throwing it to the floor as she walked over to inprisond vigilant. She stopped Infront of him she bent down so they were eye level.

Neither of them spoke. Rose looked past the eyes of the helmet and into Jason's soul. Her mouth quickly curling into a playful smirk under her eyepatch.

"Thank you Dad, I'm going to enjoy this" Rose spoke softly swiftly moving her fingers behind the Hoods helmet and removing it. Jason didn't protest he didn't even so much as move a little. All he did was smirk back at her.

"Hum..I've always wanted to get you tied down like this, all that tuff guy bullshit stripped away" she whispers seductively in his ear. She draped her arms around his neck sitting in his lap their lips mearly an inch from touching

"You know I much proffer this over my original plan for this evening" Jason said enjoying the sensation of her warm steady breath on his lips. The was the faintest smell of drink and cigarettes, she had clearly been out enjoy Christmas Eve. It didn't bover him. It was a part of Rose and who she was and Jason was intoxicated by it.

After what felt like forever the two finally kissed again for the first time since there last meeting and it showed. Roses lips like a spell lulling him into it begging for all his attention and affection that he gladly gave.
