It was now 1934, Anne was four and had a new life ahead of her in Amsterdam. Otto still adored Anne and Margot's 8th Birthday approached. Margot's Birthday was quite a surprise. She awoke to see her little sister wearing a white tutu.
Margot helped nurture Anne when she was a baby and Anne was a toddler then. Brightful and quirky even then.
They were away from Hitler. And Otto knew that.
When Otto's Father, Michael died Otto and his brother Herbert inherited his bank. But the Great Depression Made the Bank suffer 90% Decline. On April 2,1932 Otto wrote in a Letter to his sister Helene,"Business is Bad, there is no telling where we're heading. The only bright spot is the children, who are sweet and take my mind off our troubles."
The Franks moved to a smaller apartment which was what they could afford and Hitler's Empire was spreading Faster and Otto Feared he'd Invade Amsterdam, which remained neutral.
