Sometimes
I wish I knew
That flying feels like falling
If your wings don't carry you
Falling like a raindrop
Escaped and unbound
Euphoric in his freedom
Until he hits the ground
You should've known better.
But I was finally free.
Pride comes before a fall.
Why did you take it out on me?
A child believes it can fly
A child forgets it can die
"The moment you doubt whether you can fly, you cease forever to be able to do it."
- J. M. Barrie, Peter Pan
