Camila sped past the honking cars and traffic lights. Everything was a blur. Her heart started to beat faster and faster as she neared the hospital.
When She walked in the hospital doors, the receptionist nodded her head and pointed down the hallway. She stood outside her father's room, and took a deep breath. She walked in and saw the nurses and doctors, carefully wrapping his lifeless body in large washed out blue blankets.
"Camila. Something must have attacked him while he was driving. There was no evidence of another car and he didn't run into anything. Whatever it was left quite a mark" the nurse pointed to her father's neck. There were two marks, they looked like bite marks, but were deep and bleeding.
Camila was silent for a minute before finding words. "What do you think could have attacked him?"
"For now we are not sure. It could have been an animal or a person's weapon. All we know is that whatever happened ended up fatal."
Camila walked over to her father's now fully blanketed body and gave him a light hug.
"I love you so much, Papa." Camila let a few stray tears roll down her cheek. Camila let go of her father for the last time and thanked the nurses and doctors in appreciation. She walked out of the hospital and sat in her car and cried. She just cried and cried and cried.
She finally had stopped crying when it physically hurt to cry anymore. She drove back home, listening to the music from her and her dad's mixed iPod playlist.
That night Camila hardly slept. Her thoughts were like rain, and her mind was like clouds, that were blocking her thoughts, seeing things as foggy and not clear.

The next morning she was awoken to the sound of a loud knocking noise on her door.
'Knock, knock, knock'
Camila dragged herself out of bed and trudged to the front door.
She was met by a middle aged man in a black suit and sleeked back black hair. He took out a piece of paper from his pocket and peered at Camila for a second before speaking up.
"Miss Cabello?"
"Yes."
"I have been notified by your fathers passing. Horrible news. And, well, since you do not have enough money to live in this house alone, I am going to have to send you to live with your mother," the man explained with a monotone.
Camila was unhappy with this. She hadn't seen her mother in 10 years. In fact last time she saw her mother was when she was only 7 and the two never really got along. Most of that was to blame on her drinking problem. It started off as just a glass of wine, but things became serious and unsafe for 7 year-old Camila. So Camila and her dad left Camilas mom, so who knows what state she would be in now.
"When do I have to got there?" Camila questioned.
The man looked at his watch and back at Camila. "4 and a half hours. I have called a cab to come and get you when it's time for you to go. Make sure you take everything you need. Whatever is left is going to other homes. It's time for me to go now, but I wish you the best of luck, and I am truly sorry about your father," he gave her a sympathetic smile and walked away.
"Great, just great. First my dad dies, the only one who truly loved me, by who knows what, and now I'm being sent to live with my alcoholic mother who I haven't seen in 10 years," Camila muttered to herself, closing the door and pulling out a suitcase from her wardrobe.
She made a list of the things she was going to take. She had to limit it down to a suitcase and a backpack so it was pretty hard.

"Honk, honk."
Camila sighed as she said goodbye to her house and made her way outside. There was the taxi waiting for her and another middle aged man was driving.
"Hello Miss Cabello," he said, his voice was very deep.
"Uh hi."
"It's sad you have to leave this house. Quite a nice house it is."
Camila only nodded in response as the man drove off. Camila looked out the car window and watched as she left her house and everything else she had behind.
