"Yep." Ace said, pouring tea into a mug. He handed it to me, and told me to read the stats.
Ghost Mug: only for the incorporeal.
Rarity: kind of
Ghost tea: leaves taken from the world of spirit.
Rarity: very
I gazed at the seemingly normal mug, my hands shaking. I felt fine, I wasn't see through, and I wasn't floating.
"Since your in the realm closest to the spirit world, your very corporeal, but not enough to eat actual food and drink. If you go back to your realm, you'll go nabstablook." He said, while pouring boiling water into a yeti. She dropped a couple coffee beans in, not enough to qualify as actual coffee, then put tea bags in from a cylindrical container labeled "Double Dark Chocolate Maté".
"But if you would like to go back, I won't stop you."
...
"Is Chara alright?" I asked.
"She's awake, you guys can discuss a plan for what you want to do next." Ace said, shrugging off his lilac jacket and taking a sip of the tea.
"How about we go to the spirit world ourselves? I'm a soulless being, so I might be registered as a ghost and be given a soul automatically, according to the rules of that world. Ace, what do you think?" Chara said from behind us.
She had a blanket over her head, her hair mused and a bruise on her knee.
Ace blinked.
"I... never thought about it that way." He said slowly.
"I mean... this world is a game.... you must abide by its rules, the code might give access to a soul if it finds a hiccup in an entity... but that might result in a system purge, whereas...but if the code is introduced gently it might not recognize it as a glitch..." he mumbled under his breath.
"Uhm, I didn't catch any of that, but will you help us?" I asked.
Ace was silent for a moment, grabbed the Yeti cup, and rushed to the living room saying, "I need to run a couple errands, I'll also investigate a little, hang tight, and please don't go though my stuff!" He said, his voice fading as he went through the door. We looked through the door after him, and at ten feet from the house, he disappeared.
...
"Wanna go look through his stuff?" Chara said, a slow smile spreading across her face.
"No, that's not-
"Not what? 'Not allowed'? Come on, we are in a house floating through a vast expanse of darkness bubbling with wild monsters, there has to be a couple interesting things here." She said tossing the blanket onto the couch and walking to one of the halls. I heard a door open, and she shouted, "found some sort of storage room. Come on, come on." She said. I heard a crash sound.
"it's cluttered in here." She said.
I rushed the the little storage room, and found Chara standing next to a metal box tipped on its side.
"Imma look inside. No locks, mustn't be too dangerous." She said.
I looked over her shoulder as she opened it. She huddled closer as she did, blocking my view.
She stared for a couple seconds, then firmly shut the lid and slid it under the shelf it presumably fell from.
"That.... is.... scary." She said, and stumbled to the living room, "Ok, Y/n, no looking through Ace's stuff." She said.
I was a little curious.
I slid the box out from under the shelf again, and opened it.
"What the..."
Inside was a button, it cast off a white glow from its borders, and the words glowed like sun reflecting off snow.
"System Purge..."
I stared at it a little longer.
"Nope."
I slammed the lid shut and put it on a clearing of the shelf.
"Wonder what that's supposed means..." I mumbled.
