"The fuck you got a stripper pole in here for? It wasn't here when I left." I snapped seeing the tall silver pole attached to the ceiling. "What? Yes it was." His hand slid to the back of his neck as I eyed him. Lying ass. "You a damn lie." I huffed before snatching the cigars and weed from him. I sat on the couch and began rolling up.

"You look sexy as fuck right now." Don said while watching me. I decided to play with him and ran my tongue down the length of the blunt, getting it nice and wet. "Really Britni?" I laughed when he said that before doing the same to the second one. "Who was on that pole Adonis?" I ran the flame from the lighter up and down the blunt before passing it to him. "Nobody. I been had it there, I took it out the basement the other day. I swear."

I passed him the blunt I just lit and watched him. "It's been seventy-six days." Don spoke after a minute of silence. "I know." I inhaled. "That means the three months are almost over." "What are you getting at Don?" He pulled on the weed a little too long and ended up coughing. "I told you, you can't hang with the big- ow." I said when he pushed me sideways. "You not hurt, shut up." He jumped at me and I jumped back but ended up falling off the couch. My thc intake was through the roof by now and I began laughing uncontrollably.

"You fucking stupid, yo." Don said pulling me up from the floor and into his lap. "Fuck you." I gave him the finger. "I'm trying but you be playing." "I don't play. I did play last night but my batteries ran out right when I was about to cum. Talk about a buzzkill." I said. "But you could've called me up. You don't need no toys to make you feel good." He said pulling at my bottom lip. I locked my arms around his neck and kissed his lips to shut him up. I was tired of hearing his voice and kissing him was the only way to stop it right now.

After going through three more sessions, we took our party up to the kitchen. I sat on the island counter eating Cheetos puffs while Don sat beside me with a bag of white cheddar popcorn. I got to the bottom and tore the bag open and started licking the cheese stuck to bag. "Fat ass." Don laughed before he did the same. "You're one to talk." I laughed along with him before hopping down and washing my hands.

"Let's play a game before we go to bed." Don said making me give him a confused look. "I'm not sleeping here, I'm going home." "No you're not." He said to me in the same tone of voice he uses on Junior when he's being bad. "Okay Daddy." I sighed kind of turned on. Everything he does turns me on now and it's not because I'm high at the moment.

"Thats what you calling me tonight?" He asked while trapping me in between his body and the kitchen sink. "What? Daddy?" I questioned and he shook his head yes. "No." I snorted. "Well what about Sir?" He tried not to laugh at my reaction. My face twisted up. "Don't get popped Adonis. I'm not calling you no damn "Sir" we are not in that type of relationship if you want to call it that." I shut it down. "I know but, let's try it." He said. "No. Now let's play this game."

"Go upstairs and get all the blankets and toss them down. I'll handle business down here." Don ordered slapping my ass as I walked past. "Stop." I whined. "Shut up and do what I said." "Shut up and do what I said. Nigga better go on somewhere tryna boss somebody around, I'll beat his ass." I whispered to myself. "What did you say?" Don yelled. "Nothing." I called back.

By the time I came back down the steps, Don had all glass moved and the sofas and chair pushed to the middle of the living room. "Let's put the blankets over the furniture." Don said. "Are we building a fort?" I asked becoming excited. "Yeah, we are." After we had finished, he pulled out two nerf guns and handed one to me. I looked at it and immediately remembered that this is what we used to do as kids: build a fort and have a war with the nerf guns.

"Winner gets to do anything they want to the loser. You ready?" He said. Leave it to him to say that. I shook my head yes and immediately ran for cover when he aimed the gun at me. For a good thirty minutes we shot at, ran from and hid from the other. I was in the fort hiding from Don and trying to figure out a plan to use my last nerf bullet on him. I listened for his footsteps and assumed they were coming from the other end of the fort.

I quickly started crawling out and was met with Don standing there. "Going somewhere?" He smiled down at me before raising the gun and shooting me dead in the forehead. I frowned because he won. "Yes! I won! Oh man, I'm about to turn the fuck up with some victory! Who's the man? I'm the man." He celebrated while I stood with my arms folded across my chest.

He reached out and pulled me into him. "You know I'm about to do something pretty nasty to you right?" He checked. "Ugh, I know." I mumbled. "Just making sure we are on the same page. Gone upstairs and wait for me." He let me go after a kiss and walked away. "Just making sure we are on the same page. Gone upstairs and wait for me." I whispered. "Say that one more time." Don yelled. "Ain't nobody say nothing! Bionic ear ass." I made sure to silently say that.

"Y'all in trouble." Ant sang when I picked up my phone that had been ringing like crazy the next morning. "Why?" I asked before blowing a raspberry on Juniors belly. "I know you ain't just fart in my ear. Disrespectful ass." Ant said in disbelief. "I was blowing a raspberry but tell me why I'm in trouble." "Not just you but you and Don. Y'all didn't come to church." He laughed. "So what? We missed a service." I rolled my eyes. "Well you better get here before we leave for the restaurant so we don't hear Mommy's mouth." He said before he hung up.

"Don we missed church." I said. "Yeah, I know. After what we did last night I figured we would set the church off in flames walking up in there." He laughed and it made me laugh just thinking about it. "We didn't even do anything out of the norm for us." I said. "Girl, you called me Daddy. Fuck you mean we did nothing out of the norm?" "Bye Don." I said before getting up to dress Junior before I handled myself.

While in Junior's bedroom I pulled his drawer full of pants out and saw a black, square box. I looked behind me and then down to see Junior trying to get out of the crib. I wanted to open it and see what it was but I sat it down and walked away. After I dressed him, I placed him on the floor and went back to the drawer. I opened it up and grabbed the box. As soon as I opened it, I was met with a ring. I threw it back in the drawer and closed it.

"What are you doing?" Don asked, "Huh?" I turned my body towards him. "What are you doing?" "Putting his clothes away. I'll be down in ten minutes. Go put Junior in the car." I said rushing past him.

Once in Don's room I sat on the bed and tried to collect my thoughts. He had a ring so that meant he was going to ask me soon, right? I couldn't help but wonder how long he had had it. I knew that I wanted it but was I ready now? It hadn't even been ninety days and I find a ring. There was no need to jump to any conclusions and if he was proposing soon or not so I got my happy self up and ready to leave.

I was just going to let it play out and keep things normal between us. I wasn't bringing up marriage, another baby, moving back in together- none of that. I wasn't going to ruin what we had and what we were moving to now.
