Everyone was sad, but you on the other hand was free. Free from the pain. You were free from the sorrow filled houses. Free from the sorrow of the people you loved.
Now:
You woke up on what felt like grass. You slowly opened your eyes, only to see a deep red sky. "What?" You sat up instantly and looked around you. You saw that you were in some type of clearing in a forest. You got up and went to a patch of (favorite flowers). You smiles softly, nearly forgetting that you were in some new place. Still not knowing where you were, you got back down on your knees and cupped the group of flowers in your hands, making sure not to pull them out of the ground. As you smelled the flowers, you felt at ease, calm. You felt safe in a world you didn't know. You were so engrossed in the flowers and the feeling, you didn't notice someone or something approaching behind you. You felt a tap on your shoulder and turned around quickly, accidentally pulling a few flowers out of the ground. You locked eyes with what seemed like a humanoid deer. The person had lilac hair with black tips. They had small, black horns, which were wrapped in purple ribbons. They wore a black dress with ripped leggings underneath. Their tiny brown, deer-like tail showing slightly. Their legs where covered in light brown hair, resembling a deer's. Their ears were lilac with black tips, like their hair, and had a triple moon ear ring set with a matching necklace. Their hoofs were a dark black. The last detail was the belt that had bottles and a book attached to it. You gasped and fell backward, falling on your ass. You stuttered, "W-what are y-you? W-w-where am I-I?" The person, no the thing, chuckled. "Relax love! I am not here to hurt you. I just got word that we had got another one fall down, and it happened to be my day to come and help the poor soul." The thing chuckled when your eyebrows stitched together in confusion. "Listen," The thing said. "I know that when you woke up, you noticed the different surroundings. You aren't where you think you are," they came closer. "You are in Hell, love~!" Your eyes shot open in shock. 'what? Hell?!' You started to breath heavy and closed your eyes shut tight. You felt a hand lightly squeeze your shoulder. After a minute or two, you finally calmed down. You looked up to the other, and smiled softly. "T-thank you... N-now, c-can we talk about this entire thing again?" They smiled. "Love, I can only say so much. You know half of what you want, the other half..." They reached and grabbed your shoulder lightly again. "You have to let time answer that itself." They smiled softly. You looked down. You wanted to know why you were here. You wanted to know why the events before played out the way they did. You wanted to know so much, but you couldn't get the answers you wanted. You looked back up to the person beside you for a minute. "W-what is your name?" They beamed. "Lavender. You can call me Lav for short if you want." They held a hand out. You grabbed it as they pulled you up. "Hey, I know you are new here, and you shouldn't just trust some random ass person, but, I live near this hotel. I can help you get a room. I would let you stay with me, but I don't have room. The only catch is that you may have to actually work in order to stay." You looked at the person you now knew as Lavender. You nodded. "I will admit, I am still confused and lost, but I can see that I can trust you." You smiled slightly. You started to walk, turned around and said, "Let us go then." Lavender smiled and nodded.
You walked for what seemed forever, in reality, it was only 10 minutes. You then emerged from the place you now recognized as a forest. As you and Lav walked away, you felt the nervousness come back. Lavender took notice on how you were acting and put a hand on your shoulder. "Don't worry, you'll be alright love. I'll make sure." You looked at the now known female and smiled. It didn't take long for you two to reach a building that looked Victorian in style. You had a fondness over Victorian styles, but stayed calm. As you and Lavender closed in on the buildings front, you started to think on how your whole entire personality had changed when you died. You weren't usually like this before, but I guess death has a funny way of changing you. You were so lost in thought that Lavender had to shake you a bit in order to get back. You shook your head and looked at the deer. She had a look of worry in her eyes as she tried to see if you were alright. You smiled reassuring to the worried demon and she smiled back. You two slowly approached the building ahead of you. She balled her hand into a fist and knocked on the door. It didn't take long in order for the door to open. A girl who looked oddly familiar to a doll stood there, wearing black dress pants with light red cuffs. Suspenders draped over top of a white button-up dress shirt and her skin was a pale olive like color. Her hair was in a tiny tail at the bottom, her eyes were surrounded in a pale pastel like yellow and her pupils were pure black. She smiled as she locked eyes with the both of you. "Hi! Welcome to the Happy Hotel! Do you need a room?" She said this in a wonderful presenting voice as she moved out of the way to let you both in. You smiled as you walked through. The lobby was messy, but dainty in a way. Lavender then went with the girl away from you, leaving you to stand like a dumbass in a place you didn't know. You decided looking around be a good idea, so you looked at the pictures on the wall.
As you leaned against the way, you hummed 'Whiskey Lullaby' by Brad Paisley. You looked out the little window and started to sing a loud, not noticing that the demon girl and Lavender came back.

She put him out like the burnin' end of a midnight cigarette
She broke his heart, he spent his whole life tryin' to forget
We watched him drink his pain away a little at a time
But he never could get drunk enough to get her off his mind
Until the night
He put that bottle to his head and pulled the trigger
And finally drank away her memory
Life is short, but this time it was bigger
Than the strength he had to get up off his knees
We found him with his face down in the pillow
With a note that said, 'I'll love her till I die.'
And when we buried him beneath the willow
The angels sang a whiskey lullaby
At this point, you were crying and replaying the memories from your past.
The rumors flew but nobody knew how much she blamed herself
For years and years she tried to hide the whiskey on her breath
She finally drank her pain away a little at a time
But she never could get drunk enough to get him off her mind
Until the night
She put that bottle to her head and pulled the trigger
And finally drank away his memory
Life is short, but this time it was bigger
Than the strength she had to get up off her knees
We found her with her face down in the pillow
Clinging to his picture for dear life
We laid her next to him beneath the willow
While the angels sang a whiskey lullaby
As you finished the song, lost in song, you didn't know that Lavender, the demon you saw at the door, and two others were standing there, silently listening in amazement. You slowly ended the last verse and you heard a clap. You spun around and looked at the group of demons staring at you. Lavender was now clapping, the girl from the door was smiling a smile of sympathy, and the others looked at you, one clapping with Lavender, the other just staring. You blushed in embarrassment and smiled softly as you looked down. Lavender walked to you, squeezed your shoulder and smiled sweetly. You looked at her and smiled back.
After your little show, you got to know the other demons. The girl, who denied to have anything romantic going on with the girl from the door who you now knew as Charlie, was named Vaggie. She had a light brown-grey skin tone, long warm-grey hair, one side that covered her other eye. She had a red bow in her hair, a white dress with x's on it, black lace on the bottom, and she had mitch-match stocking, one gray and one gray and pink stripes. The last details she had was that she had gray arm-warmers and an eyepatch that matched her skin and had a big red x on it. Her eyes were a light red and her irises were light pastel yellow. The other one, the gay male, was Angel Dust. He had a short skirt on, a striped white and pink suit jacket on, four hot pink gloves to go on his four arms, and high-top boots. He had a nice bowtie and a choker on. His hair went two ways, and had light pink dots. He had a large bust- fluff on his chest. His eyes were different. One eye was light yellow with a pink iris. the other was black and had a pink iris and pupil. The last detail he had was one gold tooth in his many sharp rows.
You got your room key and you and Lavender went up to the corresponding door number, referring the key's number. You were room 03. You and Lavender walked up to the door and you unlocked it. You opened the door, but didn't walk in. You looked at Lavender, who was smiling. "Well, here we are hon! I hope you get settled in well. Me and you can go shopping for clothes and stuff tomorrow if you want?" She said. You nodded and yawned. She smiled more. "Well, you are tired. You should rest. I'll be here tomorrow morning. Wake up whenever, no rush. I'll see you tomorrow!" She hugged you and walked to the elevator. As the door was shutting, she smiled and waved. You then turned from watching the elevator to your room. You walked in and saw the room had a main color scheme, (favorite color). You loved it. It had a vintage, but modern style to it. You went to the bed, laid down, and soon, fell into a deep sleep.
