It was a cool crisp autumn afternoon, Fae Sauveuse was walking home alone from school to the outskirts of the little town known as Blossom Mist City, her home rested at the edge of a cliff known as Petals Edge, it dropped down into a form of gallow, to deep down to see the bottom, a thick layer of mist covered the bottom halfway. She stood at the edge of the cliff, at the entrance of a forest and a yard away from her house. Patels edge was known for its seemingly bottomless gap, strange noises and strange things that ware seen wading through the thick fog, but was never figured out because they were only shadows to the aerial view. Her home, behind her, a small two-story house with a large backyard, the outside walls covered in chipped, dusty blue paint. The forest, to the south of her, is a densely wooded area, it was so dense that you only see a few feet until the trees got fully in the way, beautiful flowers, slowly wilting with bushes behind them and around the trees, squirrels, and chipmunks scavenging for the winter, birds searching for bugs and seeds, to the leaves drifting from the branches to a crunchy crisp thin chip of a colored leaf. Fae Sauveuse, a golden brown skin girl with silver-colored eyes and dark brown freckles, chestnut brown hair that rested on her shoulders, curled inwards, oval-shaped face, rounded-almond shaped eyes that shone like a silver bracelet, a sweet button nose, and full lips. She looked out towards the seemingly endless gallows and saw shadows swiftly swimming around under the dense fog, "It's like watching fish swim in the ponds..." Fae muttered to herself nonchalantly, she was making her turn to leave when something odd caught her eye, "Wha..." the fog in the gallows were turning to a dusty pink color, she grabbed the hem of her uniform skirt out of shock and worry before making her leave to her home.
Sunset was making its fall as Fae walked out into the back yard with her black Abyssian cat with blue eyes and silver and dark grey-haired husky with brown and blue eyes, a ball in her hand, she tossed the ball and the dog sped towards the ball with haste, the cat climbed up the back of Fae to rest around her shoulders, "Oh, hello Artemis..." Fae pets Artemis's head as she started to purr, the husky trotted back over triumphantly, ball in mouth, he stopped in front of fae and dropped the ball at her feet before he and Artemis picked their heads up and looked around as if something was wrong, "What's wrong Artemis and Apollo..?" Fae asked as Artemis jumped down behind Fae and got in a pouncing stance, hissing, Apollo hunched down as well, ears back and mouth drew back into a snarl, making a growling sound, that's when the dusty pink mist rolled in, the mist stood at the high of her knees and would've swallowed up Artemis if she hadn't acted fast and got onto Apollo's back. Fae was on the other side of the backyard, about a couple of dozen feet away from the back porch which sat well about the height of the mist, the fence gate not too far from the porch steps, Fae slowly walked through the fog, her hands cupped onto her chest as she looked around worriedly, Apollo right at her heels. Before she could make it halfway to the steps, the fence gate creaked open, a clearing in the mist started barreling towards Fae, Apollo grabbed her by the sleeve and started dashing towards the house, Artemis still on his back and Fae being practically dragged behind Apollo, before Fae could get up the stairs onto the porch, she was grabbed by the ankle and fell onto the floor, her sleeve being torn out of Apollo's mouth, then was speedily dragged out of the fence gate into the street then into the forest, Apollo speeding behind her, Fae's screams and pleas for help drew her father out of the house to see his daughter, cat, and dog disappear into the forest.
After what seemed like hours of being dragged, and Apollo losing Fae's tracks and turning home tail between his legs, Fae had just crossed her arms and had stopped screaming and sighed, she soon felt her self drop down and land on her back, the air being knocked out of her. She looked up at the canopy of trees and saw how far she had fallen down but was surprised she was okay, no broken bones nor was she dead. Fae sat up taking more moments to catch her breath before hugging herself, the deep hole she was in was freezing cold and it didn't help that it is going to be nighttime within a couple of hours, with what little daylight she had, she must make haste to get out of the hole, she looked around her surroundings to find what could help her get out the hole, she stood up and felt along the dirt walls and found a thick and sturdy root, she looked across the ground and found a vine and scarily enough, bones, as well as some matches, a satchel, and a diary, she picked up the satchel and put the matches and diary in before slinging the bag over her head onto her shoulder, she grabbed two curved bones which she could only assume were rib bones, "If the dirt is dry enough, maybe I can climb my way out of here..." she stuck a bone into the dirt and there it stayed, she then grabbed the root and tugged on it, causing it to up room almost all the way to the surface, "or I can climb this and use the bones the rest of the way..." she grabbed the bones and stuffed them int the saddle, she took the vine and wrapped it across her hip over her shoulder to make sure it wouldn't slip off her body before grabbing the root and started to climb up. Her palms were screaming in agony as she grabbed and tugged herself up the root, splinters making their way into her hands from the root. Once she reached the top of the large root, she sat there clinging onto it smelling the air, 'It's going to rain soon,' she thought to her self, she hugged the root with one arm and pulled the two rib bones from the old satchel and dug them into the dry soil and started to speedily climb up to try to make it out the hole before it started to pour. As soon as she was hoisting herself up over the edge of the hole, it started to pour, she climbed out onto the now muddy ground and collapsed onto her back and soaked in the cool air before getting up. The rain started out as gentle drops before pelting down onto her, she raised the satchel over her head to shield her from the rain, she looked around to find any tracks she may have left when being dragged, she found a trail lead the way she was dragged from, she started her hike home.
