The life challenges of Milly Marion

The beging

It began on the first day of Gr 2. When The teacher introduced her to Mat.  Milly was a shy girl so she was a quiet person. After a few hours Mat was getting tired of being quiet so he started talking to Milly.  Milly would respond to him because she didn't want to be rude, after a few days she started getting more comfortable talking to him and talked to him because she wanted to. They instantly became friends, Growing up they did everything together. They were inseparable. As kids they spent every birthday and holiday together. That year the we're starting Gr 8. Halfway through Gr 8 Matt got his first crush. It was Milly! He was planning on telling Milly about this but, Milly had not been at school all week and Matt was starting to worry. When Milly finally came back to school Matt asked why she was gone all week and she dogged the question and asked about what she missed at school. The second week Milly was gone Matt was so worried about her that he went over to her house to get answers. Milly was not home but her mom was, so Matt walked over to Millys mom Ms. Marion and asked "why is Milly missing so much school?"
"She'll tell you when she is ready." Ms Marion said
"What do you mean?" Asked Matt
"She is going through some stuff and she will tell you when she is ready"
"Okay. I hope she is ready soon" Matt said waving goodbye to Ms. Marion. Milly was at school the next day. She was feeling well enough to go to Matt's house after school, but had strict instructions to call home if she felt the slightest bit off. Milly agreed, and off she went. When Milly got to Matt's house they went downstairs to watch a movie. Halfway through the movie Milly started feeling off, Milly didn't want Matt to know what was going on yet so, she stayed quiet. Near the end of the movie Milly was feeling so bad that she couldn't even stand up. She could see Matt getting suspicious so she used all her might to stand up. The last thing she heard was Matt calling her name as she passed out into his arms.

At the hospital

Milly woke up to her parents crying and Matt with a very worried look on his face. "What happened?" Asked Milly
Matt responded " one minute you were getting up and the next minute you were so pale you looked like a ghost. Your lucky I caught you or you could have hit your head or something worse!"
"I guess I owe you a explanation" Milly said quietly
"Yes you do." Matt said
" it all started a few weeks ago. I was walking home from school. I had fallen in gym class and gotten a bruise. When I got home I looked at my bruise and it had doubled in size!
We went to the doctor to see what was happening.  I knew when the doctor called my parents over it was bad....
