Japanese ghosts, known as the Japanese army, were associated with military headquarters during World War II, during the Japanese occupation of Malaysia. The Japanese army held its spiritual hold. They believed that they would be resurrected and would be back where they were killed.

The Japanese soldiers' bodies were not buried and burned with clay and used as a brick to build buildings and headquarters. They believe that this soldier's spirit will always be with the building.

Places often referred to as haunted areas are boarding schools, government offices and important buildings that existed during World War II. So to say, this Japanese ghost is quite modern. Therefore, some believe that it is possible to see Japanese ghosts gathered or in action around or inside the building.

This Japanese ghost is seen either armed with a rifle or a sword, with no head or head held together. Occasionally, it is said to be fully armed at night (with no head), with the sound of military boots.
