There was no way you could let him leave after this.

"Stay," you murmur into his parted lips, your foreheads touching.

He looked down at his shoes and chuckled bashfully.

YH: "Really?"

The intensity of the moment seemed to have passed and the two of you picked up a more light-hearted spark. You welcomed him in, and upon glancing at him, remembered how soaked you both still were from the fountain.

"Oh, feel free to use my shower," you said as you dropped off your bag onto the couch. "I'll have clothes ready for you. Don't want you to catch a cold..."

You rushed into the kitchen to take out some cups and make some hot tea for the two of you to warm up.

YH: "You're just as wet as me though," he noted.

He walked in carefully after taking off his shoes.

YH: "It's your house; you should shower first. I can wait."

Gentleman as always.

You blew a mock sigh at him and told him you'd be quick.

In the bathroom, as you removed your clothing piece by piece, your mind began to wander. Was it weird to invite a guy to stay overnight on the first date? To be very honest, this wasn't something you should be doing... But you just didn't want to see K go.

After you finished your shower as speedily as you could, you found K sitting at the kitchen table with a cup in hand, steam rising softly.

YH: "I went ahead and boiled some tea. I hope that's alright."

There was another cup set on the table.

YH: "For you," he grinned.

"Feels weird that you're the one making me the drinks in my own home," you chuckled and went over to take a sip. "Shower's free."

YH: "Don't mind if I do," he got up and walked to your bathroom. "You'll really have clothes for me?" he questioned as he was closing the door.

You told him not to worry and went to your room in search of an outfit that would fit him. It wasn't hard. There, sitting at the top of your drawer were your ex-boyfriend's pyjamas that he left out of convenience since he visited so often. It was difficult to forget they were there considering how much you had thought about him while he was gone and this was one of the things that reminded you of him.

But your ex-boyfriend wasn't here, and he hadn't been to your place in weeks. K was a bit taller, so your ex-boyfriend's clothes would probably fit him better than your own. Without letting yourself think too much of it, you picked up the pyjamas and walked out of the room.

You decided to leave them outside of the door so that he could pick them up when he needed them, and waited on the couch with the cup of tea warming your hands. Maybe television would pass the time better than just sitting in wait, not doing much. You turned it on and flipped through the channels, but nothing seemed to catch your interest. Yet at the same time, you didn't care too much to turn it off either.

The bathroom door creaked open and you imagined K opening his mouth about to call you, but discovering the neat pile of clothes you left him on the floor. The door shut quietly. And you noticed it again – your heart beating faster.

You questioned the status of your relationship with K again. The last time you did, a kiss hadn't happened yet. Friends? More than friends? Nothing was really established. No clear statements like, "I like you," or "will you be my girlfriend?" had been made, so everything was up in the air. You figured K liked you, though you couldn't really be sure since he hadn't said anything. He kissed you, but maybe he was just being nice and the moment seemed right. Maybe you were just fooling yourself into thinking he liked you because you were falling for him. Maybe this was just like the way it was with your boyfriend. While you felt like you were putting in more of yourself into the relationship, giving all the love that you could give, it wasn't returned.
