The New Girl(Dance Moms Fanfiction)

~The Callback~

"Lantic, you ready?" My Mother asked as I finished getting ready. I was wearing a red set and my hair was in a ponytail. Abby told us not to wear our solo costumes because right after was the callback was the pyramid. "Ok, I'm ready let's go!" As my mother drove through the LA traffic and I was on my phone texting Maesi from the auditions yesterday. She's still convinced I'll be the one to make it but, I'm sure she'll be the girl to get in. We got to the ALDC after about 15 minutes, I was so excited preform a solo for Abby. I walk in Maesi and Abagail were already there. Shortly after I arrived Alexis came over to us and we talked until it was time to start. Abby walked in with Maddie and Mackenzie, they were there to watch us and judge if Abby couldn't decide. "Girls I have been informed that Taylor couldn't join us. Last night she was informed that she got a part in a Broadway show." I smiled happy for her, also about the fact that there was one less girl to compete against."Onto the solos, we're going from oldest to youngest so, the order will be Abagail, Atlantic, Alexis, and Maesi." We all nodded, I was happy I wasn't first or last. We all stretched for a minutes, then Abagail took her place.

Abby nodded in approval to all of us, we all killed it. I don't know how she'll decide. "Alright girls, you all did amazing, turns out I do need the help of the girls to decide."Abby says."we'll be back in a minute with our decision." None of us spoke in that short time,we all stood nervously waiting. About 5 minutes later she walks back in, the girls following her."It was a tough decision although, I'm happy to announce that, Atlantic will be joining us at the Abby Lee Dance Company." All the girls came over and hugged me,  then my mom came in and production broke down what was going to happen."Pyramid will be in an hour, feel free to explore and get stretched." They told us. I walked around for a little. Maddie walked in and introduced herself. A few minutes later Mackenzie walked in and they were telling me what to expect. The producers came in and told me and my mother where to wait because the others we going to arrive soon.

~Time Skip~

This is the Pyramid:

"Nia, in the group dance you were behind a beat and your legs weren't straight!" Miss Abby yelled. I could here everything she was saying so I decided to listen and make sure not to make the same mistakes. "Next Mackenzie and Brynn. I gave you a duet, it got 3rd. No dancers of mine should be getting 3rd!" I heard Ashley say,"Maybe if you payed more attention to them and gave them better choreography they would've been able to beat Kalani and Kendall."I could practically see the eyeroll come from Miss Abby. "Moving on, Jojo. You were good, you still need to work on your technique. Your acting in the group dance was amazing." Jojo happily took the compliment,"Yes! I'm happy with this!" Everyone laughed at Jojo. "And next is Maddie, you only had the group dance which you were great in."I was a little surprised I mean Maddie is the Golden Girl after all. "Kendall you're next. You were in the winning duet. Your technique was great but, you need to work on your facials. You can't keep a pretty smile on your face and think that's enough." Another shocking moment came when Jill didn't say anything. "And on top is... Kalani, you were perfect in the duet and you were great in the group too. You deserved this." Everyone clapped. "Now onto assignments. This week we'll be competing at Starbound right here in LA. This week there will be 3 solos and 2 groups. The first solo entitled  'Fever' It's Jazz, and it'll be going to Mackenzie. Do you have the energy needed to pull off a Jazz dance, I guess we'll find out." Everyone clapped "The Second solo is going to Kendall, I want to give a chance to prove yourself and this solo is your chance. You'll be performing a Contemporary called 'Passage this could be your passage to the top. Let's hope you take it." Everyone claps "Yay Kendall!" I heard Jill yell.I was so close to laughing, but I held it in. "Now our last solo is a Contemporary piece called 'Evanscene' It has very difficult this solo. It's not going to anyone in this room. Please Welcome our newest member and her mother!" I take a deep breath and then we walk in. "This is Atlantic Haas and her Mother Jade Haas. Anything you'd like to say"I waved at everyone while everyone clapped. "Hi, I'm 13 and I'm really excited to dance with you guys!" I walked over and stood by Kendall because she was on the end. She gave me a smile and I smiled back. I thought it was going well but then I heard Jill say,"Why did you bring in someone new, you just brought in Brynn don't you think that our team is fine right now?" Abby responded by saying,"Yes, Things are going fine but I want things to be great. Maybe Atlantic will bring out something new in your girls. She could intimidate your girls into doing better." Jill rolled her eyes but she was quiet after that. "Anyways, early I said there were two groups. Both will have 4 people in them. Group 1 will be Maddie, Brynn, Nia, and Kendall. Group 2 will be Mackenzie, Jojo, Kalani ,and Atlantic. Group 1 will be Lyrical and Group 2 will be Contemporary." Everyone clapped. I could tell a few of the moms were mad about the assignments but they didn't put up a fight. I'm happy to be dancing in contemporary I think my group has a shot to win. "Everyone's dismissed except Kendall I want to work on your solo first." Abby said. I walked out with everyone else and was given a schedule. Then I was sent the Dancers Den because classes didn't start for about 30 minutes. I walked in and everyone smiled at me. They all introduced themselves and asked me a few questions. "What Studio did you dance at before"Kalani asked me. "Los Anglos Dance Academy." "I heard they're good. Don't they have a girl who has like 7 National titles that's only like 13?"Kalani responded "Um Kinda, that girl was me."I answered. "Woah, that's extermly impressive."Mackenzie said shocked. Everyone else agreed. I shyly smiled and said a quick thank you. "Girls time for your classes to start." I looked down at my schedule and saw I had Ballet in Studio C first. "What do you have first Atlantic?"Brynn asked me. "I have Ballet in Studio C." Jojo ran over to me said,"Nia and I have that too, c'mon I'll show you there"I smiled "Thanks Jojo!" Maybe today isn't going to be bad, everyone here is very welcoming. Maybe not the moms, the girls are though.
