Not Alone

"What?!" I yelled as my mom told me the news of us moving to a small town called Roseland. Where the hell is this town anyway?

"Why mom?" I asked standing in the door way as she set boxes in the middle of my room. "Because we need a new start."

"What's wrong with where we are now?" I asked crossing my arms as I sat on my bed. My mom turned around and put her hands on her hips, "1. You're getting bullied. 2. You're powers are starting t ou act up when you don't mean for them too. 3. Our neighbors are starting to get suspicious."

I nodded my head showing I understood her. She wasn't wrong though. Stuff was starting to get out of hand. Especially my abilities.

See, I'm a mutant. I'm also there'd only mutant in my town. I agree with my mom that we need a new start.

I got up and started to pack, now wanting to actually leave this place. My mom walked away satisfied, even though she isn't my actual mom. Shes my adoptive mother. My actual mother is dead and I have no idea who my actual father is.

My mother is Jean Grey, one of the most known mutants in the world. I have some of the same abilities as her and some I have no idea where they came from.

I have a total of 5 abilities that I'm aware of. I'm telepathic, can turn invisible, sense other mutants and their level, manipulation over metal, and I can open up portals or holes into space.

I'm not sure if these are my only abilities that I'm capable of. I haven't discovered any others so far. Many of my abilities showed up when I'm feeling overwhelmed. But they all showed up one at a time.

Ughhh. I guess I should pack now.

~The next day~

I woke up to my alarm going off. Today is my last day at this school. Thank god.

I got out of bed and started getting ready. I picked out a normal outfit for me. A black tank top, with a long black sleeve over it, and black ripped jeans.

"Samantha, breakfast!" My mom yelled. I finished brushing my hair and ran downstairs. I sat down at the table and started to eat. "Thanks mom."

"You're welcome. Now since today is your last day, try not to explode the school. Or at least keep your abilities in check."

"Yes ma'am." I finished eating and put my converses on.

"Bye mom!"

"Bye sweetheart!Be safe!" She yelled and I walked out the house. I continued walking to my spot. Once I got to the beginning of the woods, I looked around to make sure no one was around. When I saw no one, I continued to walk into the woods.

I got to my spot and opened a portal to get to school. I poked my head through the portal to make sure no one was around. After I saw no one I jumped through.

I ran to my locker, trying to hurry. I really wanted to avoid Emily, my bully at this school.

"Oh, look who it is. The schools freak." Speaking of the devil. I turned around to come face to face with Emily.

"Aw, are you not going to say anything? That's rude." She said getting closer, I backed up into the locker's. Someone called her name, so her and her friends looked away. I took the chance to turn invisible and close my locker with my other ability, causing a loud bang.

I slipped past Emily and her gang. "Where the fuck did that brat go?!" Emily yelled.

I just laughed and ran to behind the building. I made myself visible again and started to head to first period.

I know I suck at updating but I'm gonna try to update more so keep an eye out for updates with some of my other books. Also I hope everyone is safe and healthy.
