"Who dare go past this river" I wicked voice popped up. "It is I Ihaia son of Manaia for, I have come to cross for food and mean no harm". "Any son of Manaia gets harm, for where is Manaia now" repeated the Taniwha. "He at his grave," said Ihaia. "I see and you should join him soon," the Taniwha said cunningly. They say what happens in a flash cannot be undone for this is unfortunate for Ihaia because all of a sudden a great big red dragon popped up and grabbed Ihaia. "Ihaia son of Manaia bow before me", as the taniwha gripped his throat. Ihaia barely managing to get his voice through his lungs said "never". This angered the dragon and he gripped harder and Ihaia faded.
