Ain't it crazy
how one day you can be fine
until the doctor decides
to sprout out some word
you don't know.
But do understand.
And know
it's fucking
terrifying.
One day your life is bliss
and then an ignorant disease
comes and takes over it.
Ain't it crazy
how you can know someone
and not know what's going on in their body.
Someone beside me can be dying slowly
Overtaken by something gross
Eaten by something raw
Destroyed by something smart
and I
won't know.
I just sit
beside you
and smile.
