That evening, TianXia had another uncomfortable sleep. That night many images flashed through his dreams. None that he could focus on for long, after all, he was dreaming.

When JingHe entered the room he glanced at TianXia and was slightly alarmed at how pale the other was.

Was it that cold in here? he thought to himself before nonchalantly throwing a warming talisman to suspend in the air. The air soon became warmer. JingHe did not look at TianXia agin as he laid down on his bed and closed his eyes, he sighed in frustration before falling asleep.

Believe it or not, he really didn't want his relationship to with TianXia to be so tense. When he first arrived at the sect as a small ten year old child he was looking forwards to meeting new people. He had lived with his brothers up till now but a travelling Cultivator spotted that he had potential to become a great cultivator and offered him a place to be his disciple. That was his first meeting with Kai ShiZun. Although the man excluded a slightly cold aura, the eyes were relatively warm and he was extremely handsome. So of course, little JingHe accepted and followed KaiShiZun back to the sect. Along the way Kai ShiZun spoke of another little boy that was already his disciple .

"He'll be your senior brother. Although he's only older by a few months, nonetheless he's my first disciple."

JingHe beamed up at Kai Shizun, "I will get along with my senior brother for sure!"

Kai ShiZun smiled lament fully, "Unfortunately that'll be quite a challenge. You see, I found that child in a bad situation, I'm afraid other than me, he's quite closed off to everyone else. There's a shadow upon his heart..."

JingHe did not really understand what Kai ShiZun meant by that but he nodded anyway, "I will do my best!"

Kai ShiZun smiled and gently patted JingHe's head. JingHe glanced up at Kai ShiZun in admiration and couldn't help but hop with excitement to meet this little senior brother of his.

However when he arrived in the sect and stood in his new room shared with his senior brother. The other boy stared him down with contempt and hatred.

JingHe stepped forward and extended his hand, "H-Hello senior brother TianXia... I'm JingHe."

TianXia had only glared at JingHe and didn't say a word as he stepped back.

JingHe awkwardly lowered his hand. Perhaps this senior brother of his was shy... he thought. But he soon found that to be very false. TianXia was not shy in the least. He had a feisty tongue, he was extremely competitive and the most obvious thing of all was that TianXia hated him.

And so TianXia completely abandoned the idea of having a senior brother in the sect to fight with and instead, responded to all of TianXia provocations. Want to speak unpleasantly? Fine,  will too. Want to compete? Fine. Hate me? I'll hate you too.

And so for the following four years, a special kind of hatred brewed between them.

JingHe rolled over on his bed and glanced at the sleeping figure of TianXia, what's changed recently? And He often found himself thinking about that dream where they were both adults, with the arrival of that thought JingHe rolled back around and pinched himself. Stupid dreams!

But those lips of the adult TianXia was really too... "Arghhhhhh!" JingHe knocked his own head against his pillow.

  Forget forget forget!

When the next day rolled by, TianXia for the first time since he was reborn was able to wake up on time, he made himself medicine from the pouch ShiZun left behind for him, after drinking it, his body felt ten times better, and the pain on his back had receded a little, though the bandages will need changing soon....
